I miss you when you're gone

Shame on him, ruining her fun. Oh well, she was seeming to be making herself a semi-permanent fixture in his life. She would probably find her chance at some point in the future to see some skin on him. Hopefully in a manner that does not involve him pushing his limits too far with her one day. Or her having enough of his stubborn spite. When she purred her retort, he glanced in her direction with an eyebrow arched before rolling his eyes when her purr turned into a growl. His mouth opened to snap something else but instead just closed, jaw clenched slightly, as he changed his mind. No, he wasn't going to bite the bait this time. He would simply go against his nature and let her have it. She could threaten him but at the end of the night, what's done was done.

Next time he would simply use something stronger... Not really. Maybe.

Spencer would be remiss if he did not admit that he had briefly fallen for her little (mocking) act. He had focused too much on his concerns rather than who his "patient" was for just moment. That moment that was long enough for him to reach up toward her face, though the realization that she was yet again fucking with him caught up. He stopped a hair's breadth from her face, the concern buried under yet more frustration with his companion.

"Maybe you should put some clothes on then. Or take a shower." He calmly returned, sidestepping his tormentor to retreat to his living room. The kitchen was beginning to feel to confined for his taste. He doubted she would actually do such a thing but she was being more distracting than usual. You would think in his home he would have the "home" advantage â€" puns are bad, mkay â€" but that clearly was not the case. He collapsed in the corner of the corner, arm perched on the armrest as he dug the heel of his palm into his eye. The day was young yet he already had a headache forming.

Still, there was a morbid curiosity Spencer had about his reptilian friend. She continued to press him on things, continued to try to position herself to be sexually attractive â€" if not outright available â€" and there was part of him that wondered what would happen if he actually acted on that. Was it just another part of her game? Or was she actually trying to acquire something out of it all? Either way, she was quick enough to get his head spinning and guessing. Well, if nothing else, she was pushing him to start experimenting and learning new methods in a frenzy he hadn't had since a child. Maybe one day yet he'd be able to turn the tables on her if things did ever reach that breaking point.
