Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Samantha Cassidy
The Fae Queen was so normally well tempered and well natured, and yet it was the very mention of Aiden Tetradore that seemed to unravel any of her composure. There was nothing but hatred for the Dark Hunter that stood before her. That Hunter that thought she was nothing but disposable. That her monarchy was a damned joke or that she wasn't worthy of even the littlest bit of his respect. There was not a bit of hesitation as she commanded that he wouldn't speak ill of the man that she cared for or his pack, though that only seemed to result in another bout of annoyance that was directed at her. The words he offered her had the Faerie Queen crossing her arms. "My monarchy is closely tied to that of the Nightshade pack." She offered simply. He wasn't wrong, of course, and yet it didn't seem entirely beneficial to herself or his pack. And yet... and yet she was still entirely a woman who cared deeply about her appearance. "My relationship with him is more than simply sleeping together." She muttered, staring at the floor in a bit of annoyance.
Still, she was relieved when he switched the topic back towards her monarchy. There was not a single chance that she would sell out those within her monarchy. Not Ivy and her ability to manipulate the plants she loved, nor Troy and his ability to fly. Or Dorian and the powers she didn't know exactly about. But she would show her own power. And she could so readily feel the way he seemed almost annoyed that her power wasn't something immediately visible. But ah, his emotions were so available and so easy to tug at. It was perhaps cruel the way that she so enjoyed the hold that she was able to have over his emotions. The happiness that she held on him was laced with confusion. Ah, was it that rare of an emotion for the man? Cleary it was. And if it had been anyone else, perhaps she would have felt bad. That anger came then, and she grinned almost wickedly as he visibly shifted in front of her. She should stop. This was cruel.
And yet she didn't stop. And she didn't want to. The sadness was easier. But not nearly as easy as the fear she manipulated. This emotion she held onto, making that one seemingly more intense. If he threatened her... if he threatened Dorian... it was the very least she could do to make him be afraid of her. He deserved it. He wanted to hurt her... to hurt the people she loved. She jumped slightly as he stood after her words, her power dropping from him to allow his emotions to return to whatever state they would see fit. His own voice was barely audible as he spoke, and she frowned as she crossed her arms. Who was he afraid of? And why?
Still, her eyes remained entirely trained upon him as he spoke to her once more. "I did nothing more than manipulate your emotions," She said dryly. She should feel guilty for what she'd just done to him, especially in the way he seemed so visibly frazzled by the whole experience. And yet she felt joy at it all. Joy because she had made him feel afraid. She had shaken him. Just her. Just Samantha. She wasn't entirely useless. "Your fear for them is real if you felt it. Whatever it is." She shrugged as though the entire situation was dull.
"Unless you'd like to feel all that again, I suggest you leave and leave my monarchy alone. Dorian has my protection and loyalty always." The words were simple as she gestured towards the door. "Unless you have other questions, I suggest you go."
