Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Samantha Cassidy
There was nothing awkward about curling up beside Troy. It felt natural, almost like it was meant for him to hold her body and for her to allow him to press her against his side. It was so entirely different from when Dorian held her to comfort her. No, this felt different. There was no pity in his gesture here. Just that need to hold her close and make her feel better. And oddly enough, it was working to simply be near him. She could feel his heart beating as she pressed up against his side, and her own heart seemed to strive to match the pace. Her breathing easily fell into sync with his, and for several minutes she was content to simply lay there against him. It was only when she returned to some level of calm did she speak once more. She owed him her thanks. He deserved that much for everything he was doing for her. Still, in Troy's typical fashion, his words made her blush.
"Thank you," She said again, though her mind couldn't help but think of how Raven had blamed her. Raven, who she had thought was her friend, held her responsible for Aiden's death. And it was her fault, of course. But seeing that hurt and anger on Raven's face had broken Samantha's heart. It was her fault, though Samantha could not remember Raven's warning for Frost. But Raven had never lied to her before. She must have said something. Samantha must have ignored it. God, she was an idiot. Still, despite all of that, she appreciated Troy's words. It was easy to allow herself to stretch up and kiss his cheek, and truly it was even easy to allow herself to smile for him. His words catch her then, erupting her cheeks in yet another blush. "I haven't felt like smiling lately, but you're helping with that Troy." She said softly.
Still, she was sure she was entirely repulsive to the other man. After all, even Dorian had been insisting that she bathe. That had been one of the conditions for him slipping away tonight. That she shower. And eat. She should do that, and it was that that had her being to pull back. She looked up at him as his arm tightened on her momentarily, as though he didn't want her to pull back at all. Oh... She let her eyes travel up to his as he spoke, a small smile appearing on her lips as he urged her right back where she was. She should get up, but she found she had no desire to at all. No, instead she moved effortlessly to settle back in beside him. She wasn't sure what made her act next. It might have been the grief or the lack of sleep, but Samantha moved her hand up gently to place it on his cheek before she leaned up, pressing her lips against Troy's in a soft kiss.
