Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Frost. It was a name she had heard briefly in passing but she had never met the fellow supernatural. Burying the name deep inside of her she had half a mind to hunt him down and question him, yet the witch was far too tired to begin plotting. That was when her bitter laugh made its presence as she narrows her eyes at the faerie man before her. Clearly, Dorian had no idea what he was offering her. She was certain the man would be burned before her eyes within moments of training. No, she couldn't even call upon her flames without hurting someone. Shaking her head to attempt to erase the memories of the burning house, she glances back up at him.
"I don't believe you understand what you are offering me," she comments in an almost accusatory tone. "However, I don't believe you are 'devoid of compassion' as you so stated, you simply just don't comprehend how dangerous this... this thing is," she growls, absolutely disgusted with herself. As she trails off, she had hoped that would end the conversation on her magic abilities but clearly Dorian wanted to push the issue. She could understand from his point of view, his concern for Sam's safety, and she couldn't blame the faerie for wanting her to be safe. Even if Vhalla could control her powers, unlikely, Sam would never be safe in Vhal's presence while she was tied to her master's every bidding.
Again, a shake of her head as her mind waged war on itself.
She parted her lips to argue again but instead, she clamps her mouth shut, her jaw setting in an almost stubborn way. Opening her mouth again to throw a rather impressive insult at Dorian, nothing comes out as she in turns clenches her jaw. So, instead she glowers up at him from her position on the bed. He was right, yet she didn't want to admit she was wrong and she had nothing left to argue with. Mumbling angrily and unintelligibly under her breath she crosses her arms across her chest, her fingers digging into her arm, crossing a leg over the other. She was about to deny him flat out but thought better of it.
What would it hurt to at least give it a shot?
It would be his own fault for not listening to her if she set him on fire. The idea left her with a satisfied smirk dancing across her face. "Fine," she states simply as she stands unfolding her arms. "Let us try your foolish idea. I warn you though, you will get burned," she says certainty ringing through her tired voice. With their issue now settled, she merely grins impishly at Dorian as he asks about her bed for the night, "Your bed is rather comfortable if I don't say so myself," she purrs at him as she prowls toward the faerie. "Perhaps I should stay here for the night," she comments stopping in front of him.
Glancing up at him, she grins at him mischievously before letting a sly, tired chuckle escape from her lips. She would enjoy toying with Dorian through modern day sarcasm in the weeks to come, she was certain of it. "Don't get your panties in a twist, I'll sleep on the couch," she again laughs at him before exiting his bedroom and heading downstairs to retired for the night.
