Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Vhalla's head snaps up as she witnesses Will surge towards her, as if he were going to take her away at that moment. Holding her breath, she's deeply relieved when he catches himself, his voice nearly cracking as he watched Ivan wrench the assassin nearly from her feet. Her heart nearly broke in two hearing the way he attempted to defend her, though she knew Will was unable to do anything. Amused more than ever, Ivan simply watches the hunter in his all-knowing way, that smile still blatantly clear on his lips. "Heed my warning, Mr. Holloway, Vhalla belongs to me and I will do whatever I wish to her," he says casually though there is a certain threat coating his words for the first time directed at the hunter.
As he moves around her and clasps his hands behind his back, he simply watches William move closer, as if he could get between Ivan and Vhalla. The assassin stiffens as William makes his way closer, averting her gaze completely she simply listens to the conversation unfold between the men. "You're rather possessive of something that does not belong to you," Ivan sighs in an almost dramatic way before strolling casually towards the chaise lounge and plopping himself down, leaving Will and Vhal standing in the center of the room.
His eyes rove over the couple in an almost bored manner before he leans forward suddenly, a grin spreading across his features as Will finally breaks under his game. "Will, don't-," Vhalla begins in a hushed whisper before her master cuts her abruptly off, "Vhalla knows the usual fee, you will pay her when you're... finished," he trails off a wicked grin stretching across his face, his eyes darting towards the window, the night sky beginning to tinge purple on the horizon, "I suggest you hurry before I change my mind. It was lovely to meet you, William nearly as much as it was enlightening," he gestures with a hand before leaning back in the chair, legs crossing casually.
Vhalla's anxious eyes dart back from Will to Ivan quickly, before latching onto William's arm and dragging him towards the door, "Oh, and Vhalla dear, please bring me your Faerie Queen's head," he commands as the blood magic courses through her veins having her halt mid step, her head whipping around to her master a horrified expression twisting her features. Mouth gaping as if she were trying to deny him, she clamps it shut before dragging the hunter from the apartment and down the stairs, her barefoot aching at the cold floor. Releasing her hold on him, she avoids his gaze as she quickly wraps the short robe about her body, the length of it just covering her rear.
Using her hair as a curtain to hide her face from William, she wrenches open the heavy door into the abandoned street before exiting, goosebumps rising along her exposed skin, her breath misting in the approaching dawn. Shutting the door with William at her side, she wraps her arms around herself to shove off the cold that attempted to evade her bones still avoiding William's gaze as she stands out of place in her scant clothing. "You shouldn't have come Will," she says tiredly, the throbbing in her face more prominent in the cold. Not wanting to argue with him, she sighs heavily, the meek girl though she was far from the cock-sure assassin, even her usual swagger she walked the streets with was oddly absent.
"I need a shower."
