Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Sebastian Ellingtonget close enough to have fun
but not enough to get attached

There was certainly no denying that the prospect of returning to London next year for the holidays certainly had it's appeal for the vampire. For all the years he'd spent abroad, there was a certain part of him that was eternally called home, to England. He had been quite mournful to leave that estate he'd spend so many of his childhood years within so early, though the vampire had made sure to voice not a single syllable of his pining to so linger here. Rather, Sebastian had wholly devoted himself to looking forward to seeing those gilded palaces of his lover's own realm. After all, in the end, though the Englishman was dedicated to Belton House, it was at Dorian's side that he truly belonged. Still, a small simper fluttered across Sebastian's features, his head bobbing ever so slightly as he softly as he admitted, for perhaps the first time, how much he longed for this place. "I would like that...I miss Belton...and England." And yet, despite that momentary slip, Sebastian hardly lingered upon such dwellings, instead leading Dorian into the dining room as he took up his own place at the head of that table.

That conversation in which Giles so engaged him in was altogether fleeting, that talk of deer quickly shifting instead towards their upcoming trip to Italy. Sebastian was hardly oblivious to the hesitation that so filled even his lover's lyrics at the very mention of that country he so hailed from, though he said particularly little on the topic, at least, not until Dorian so directly voiced those concerns that, quite clearly, had weighed heavily upon his mind. Sebastian's own words were meant to be entirely reassuring that, regardless of what they so encountered when they reached Italy, Sebastian had little intention of straying from that unequivocal love he had found within his soulmate. The simple fact that Dorian's position of power held with it a decidedly greater place beneath the public eye than the vampire often preferred certainly was not going to be enough to dissuade him from what he had found in his lover. That silence in which Dorian regarded him seemed to suggest that, perhaps, his efforts to so comfort the King was enough, at least, momentarily so and yet, the sound of his lover's voice once again so drew his dark blue eyes back towards the man. The vampire shook his head ever so slightly, "I would assume, being the King of Italy, they would want to know exactly where you are at every moment. After all, without you, Italy surely would crumble." There was, perhaps, a teasing tone to his voice and yet, this aspect was perhaps one he had come to anticipate, even if he hadn't fully considered his own role within such a world.

Still, he received hardly a response in return, that dinner otherwise preoccupying any further thoughts of Italy and what Naples might have to hold for them. Such a thing hardly had to be considered tonight of all night's, certainly not on Christmas day. This was, perhaps, the one day in which all fears and sorrows were drowned and pushed a side in light of those well wishes and vastly more pleasant emotions. The conversation of the dinner table certainly mirrored such as that small family so gossiped of the latest ongoings in town and the wonders of Sacrosanct and Elizabeth's schooling and so forth. In fact, it wasn't until dinner and dessert were entirely complete and that idle chatter had begun to dwindle that the vampire so suggested that walk that was so traditionally English, even if he couldn't partake truly in those morning saunters. That simple suggestion had seen Elizabeth and Elaine return towards the kitchen to put away the remains of that Christmas evening that, surely, would get them through the next week alone. Charles and his father were quick to assist in helping clear the table, leaving the vampire and his companion entirely to their own devices as they piled on that winter gear to so step out into the snowy coldness beyond the warm walls of that home.

Sebastian's fingers easily intertwined within Dorian's own, the sound of the snow crunching beneath their shoes entirely comforting within the stillness of that silent night. The vampire's dark blue eyes brushed over that whiteness, so eying the remains of his once immaculate gardens all the same. It was the quietness of his companion's voice that drew his attention, his head tilting ever so slightly to the side as his lover spoke. The vampire paused in his step, instead shifting to stand before his lover as he listened intently to Dorian's attempts to so prepare him for the upcoming evenings that lay before them. His eyebrow furrowed ever so slightly at the mention of all of Italy so bowing to him though, in truth, such was a thing largely unfathomable to the vampire. Regardless, the vampire reached forward, gingerly taking Dorian's other hand within his fingers as well. "Dorian..." He started, looking for the words that would so explain exactly the feelings he wished to convey. "All of Italy is not enough to chase me away from you." The vampire uttered softly, offering the King a small simper before he continued on, "I can't say I will be the most....proficient Consort but, have patience with me, ma Bichette. I will figure it out." It was the best sort of promise he could provide, even if he was so admitting his inevitable downfall in a position of such undeniable authority as what Dorian so hinted would soon be his.

In truth, Sebastian was perhaps not as perturbed as he should have been. After all, he had at least some knowledge of court to fall back on, even if it was but out dated and from another country entirely. He had an inkling, of course, of what he was so walking into. After all, he had seen first hand what King William and Queen Victoria had so endured, until the constant eyes of their guards, the noblemen, and their country. Still, he was but a Consort, hardly on the same par as Queen Adelaide or Prince Albert and perhaps he was but a bit naive to so assume the world would have a lesser interest in him all the same. Regardless of it, however, Sebastian was determined to do his best to not let down his companion. After all, he was vastly more concerned of the world's reaction to his gender than anything else. Such relationships might not have been rare in the royal affairs but even he knew little of anyone whom had so openly declared their male lover to so be their Consort. He knew well enough the sheer number that might take such offense to this and had little desire to give them any additional reason for them to find him lacking in any sense. Still, Dorian certainly had enough on his plate with his own concerns to so voice this one and so, instead, the vampire simply uttered, for them both, "It's going to be okay."
