Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Cause i've been dancing with shadows
waiting till the morning after

It was all too natural, that fashion in which the vampire stepped closer towards the King's side in an effort to so reassure him in an entirely wordless fashion of whatever had so produced such unanticipated unease. He remained steadfast there, at Dorian's side as the man moved to place his now empty cup of hot cocoa down upon that bench they had previously occupied. The vampire himself was wholly oblivious to the fashion in which those silver irises so eyed that darkly hued chocolate within his own styrofoam cup. Rather, Sebastian's own gaze was settled upon the city that so surrounded them, his wrist idly flicking in the slowest of fashions to so swish the liquid inside the cup and, hopefully, melt the marshmallows within to add a far creamier taste than what was usually afforded in such a cocoa as this. The last one was being particularly stubborn, keeping it's shape and consistency against Sebastian's will and yet, he was content to sip on the contents all the same. His own blue eyes shifted to his lover ever so briefly as the man rejoined him at the railing, so entirely seeing to it that Dorian was at least enjoying himself before his own eyes turned back towards that sparkling horizon of lights.

That inquiry of how much of London that he'd seen had been met with a small shake of his head followed by a truthful admittance of how truly long it had been since he'd last lived within those city limits for any great length of time. Sebastian hardly anticipated the observation, much less the accompanying inquiry that was returned to him. More often than not, any idle comments or answers that might have suggested of his past prior to the King's existence within his life was met with but a vague nod of understanding, any further questions altogether silenced and yet, this time, there was a decided hint of inquisitiveness within his lover's voice. How long had it been, truly, since he had confided in another? He hardly even spoke of the past with his own servants, though he suspected they passed down their own knowledge and experiences they'd had at his side. Looking back on it now, he had kept the entire existence of Anna-Marie and her discover of him silent from his companion for a fear that such unsavory topics might drive the King away and yet now? Now that they were declared not only soulmates but too boyfriends and King and Consort, surely now some level of truth was expected, despite all the discontent it brought with it.

"You are not mistaken. But for all this city has changed, there are some things that have remained exactly the same." He responded with a soft sigh, his gaze shifting from the view to his hot chocolate before drifting back towards those city lights. It hardly took him long to find what he was looking for, especially at this height. "Do you see that street right over there, north of Lancaster next to that little park? There's a small side street there that still exists today, the same brick buildings line it with the same cobblestone underfoot. That is where I died." Despite the words that left his lips, Sebastian hardly paused, choosing quite purposefully not to dwell upon that moment any longer than necessary as he attempted to explain his absence, "It took me nearly thirty years to get back to that life I was used to. I fear that time has tainted this place for me." He continued leaning against the rail as his eyes brushed again at that horizon and all the memories that so lingered there - all those moments he could place, with William, with his wife, with so many souls he'd never see again, with all the blood he'd spilled. Those thoughts had a way of sombering the man, enough that he was all too willing to latch the entirety of his attention upon the questions that followed - those of his Queen.

His head bobbed ever so slightly as Dorian inquired after her affairs and too, Sebastian's involvement within her court, "I suppose she is not. But you are right, she is nearly ninety. There have been rumors she intends to hand the throne to her middle son but..." He waved the notion off entirely. "No one knows anything." Despite his years away, the vampire had done surprisingly well to keep up to date on the affairs of his country, not to mention the county that had once been his family's to sherif. The vampire hardly lingered upon the notion of the Queen long, however, before so pointing out those landmarks that he found might be of any further interest to his lover. His attention, in those moments, entirely steadfast upon the man at his side, listening to those memories Dorian so offered of monarch long past and his own naivety in those more modern conveniences that, were once, entirely foreign. The vampire took the opportunity to so tease his companion, calling him an adequate lover at best when he knew well Dorian so prided himself upon that knowledge he so gained. A smug simper crossed his own features at that reaction he was so able to prompt from the King and yet, his eyebrows raised ever so slightly at Dorian's retaliation.

That brush of Dorian's fingers against his cheek saw his blue eyes fully settle on those silver irises of his lover's gaze. His body shifted ever so slightly as the King closed the distance between their already close bodies. That press of the King's lips against his own was wholly distracting, that hot chocolate placed down as he reached forward in the fashion Dorian so anticipated him to, parting his own mouth in the process to so provide his lover with that touch of affection he knew well the King enjoyed. He was all too willing brush his tongue against the fae's in a touch that was altogether gingerly and exploratory. That smile he was given as Dorian stepped away, however, brought little more then a quizzical glimpse to his features, his gaze turning exactly to that place on the railing that he had so placed that warm beverage only for Dorian to so present it within his own finger tips. His lips parted ever so slightly with a clear glimpse of disbelief before Sebastian announced quite firmly, "You dastardly thief!" There was a small huff from his mouth, his lips contorting into a pout, even if the vampire hardly held any true anger.

Rather, he merely shook his head ever so slightly, following Dorian as he led the way back to the seat in the center of that glass windowed capsule. He watched the King shift upon that bench, hardly moving as the man moved to place his head against his lap. He watched as Dorian sipped on his hot chocolate, all too willing to take that cup as it was returned to him. Sebastian enjoyed drinks such as this, if only for the warmth that so temporarily filled his system at their consumption. His gaze flickered back towards his companion, his head momentarily tilting to the side in consideration, "No, you have not." He commented, shifting ever so slightly only to better get comfortable upon that bench for what he was assured was a sizeable story to come.
