Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

He didn't think twice about his own misfortune in the matter that night. He was too wrapped up in her own anxiety over her past and all he wanted to do was comfort her. He just wanted to know that she was okay. At least he got that chance as she appeared on the threshold of his motel room, and with burgers and fries in hand to sweeten the deal a little more. When he opened the door, she offered a smile and he felt better to know she wasn't still upset. He only wanted to see her happy.

"THE GIFT WASN'T NECESSARY FOR ME TO WANT TO SEE YOU...BUT MY STOMACH APPRECIATES IT ANYWAY."

He followed her gaze as she looked around the room, sure that she could criticize something in just about any corner of the room and yet he appreciated that she chose to stay silent about it. He managed to make her laugh even and that boostered his mood even more. Her laugh was contagious and it tended to brighten up the whole room. She sat on the edge of the bed and he moved to sit beside her, wanting to be able to hand over food as necessary so they both could appreciate the food that she offered. His eyes glistened with mischief.

"OH, I HAVE A FEELING YOU'RE VERY FLEXIBLE, BUT THAT'S NOT THE MOOD I WAS GOING FOR. GEEZ, WAY TO PUT A GUY ON EDGE."

He gave her a teasing wink to let her know that he was joking around, just wanting to keep the mood light and playful since he loved to see her smile and laugh. She kicked off her heels and he whistled to get her attention, pointing to his lap.

"GIVE ME THOSE AND I'LL SHOW YOU HOW MAGICAL MY HANDS CAN BE."

He smirked and waited for her to do as she was told, his eyes saying that he wasn't going to take no for an answer. He wanted to give her a good foot massage. It was the least he could do since she came all this way to his crappy motel room and brought him food. He shrugged.

"I'M NOT THAT PICKY. ANYTHING WITH REAL BEEF ON IT IS SURE TO GET MY FIRE COOKING."

His expression softened as he took a moment to try to read her face, looking for something more than what's on the surface before he spoke gently.

"HOW ARE YOU DOING?"

She would know what he was referring to it. It had to be the main reason she came by anyway. She wanted to make sure they didn't leave on bad terms and she wanted to get them past that night. He wanted that too and he could move on, if only he knew that she was really okay and not just faking it.
