Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Nadya Tetradore
In some sense Nadya knew what Frost spoke was true, that unleashing her abilities upon him would not give her peace. Nothing would give her peace save for having her brother back. Yet, that didn't mean she wouldn't still lash out her abilities at him in retribution for it. Peace wasn't possible but knowing she struck against her brother's enemy would be acceptable as well. For that feeling alone Nadya didn't back down, instead firming her stance and snapping at the stallion whom continued to remain standing stoically in acceptance of her anger.
At times Frost's nature was part of the mystery that drew Nadya to him but at times like now it only angered her. She knew he could read minds but the extent of that ability was unknown to her; unaware that her very pain was mirrored in part to him as well. As her gravity ability pressed upon him her gaze watched his knees fall to the ground in satisfaction. They were but equals in this position. An Alpha kneeling before her, meeting eye-to-eye where she stopped to spit a hiss at him. Yes, things had surely changed when she had accepted being his girlfriend. For one, she could feel him in a way, not a connection like to her pack or brother, a tether she would touch and hold onto, but more like a brush of fresh air against her skin or a ghost of a spiderweb that allowed her body to feel when he was close. It made this ever the more difficult for Nadya, a battle between the emotions she held for this man and the anguish of losing her brother.
Those turmoiling emotions were bested by the fresher anger as her claws lashed out for his face. It was true, if she had kept her power upon him she could have easily bit into his neck instead and ended his life with him being able to fight back very little. Later she would reach for logic, not knowing about the rest of his pack and killing an Alpha on their front porch surely to start a war that given the Nightshades shaky pack right now wouldn't survive. This is what she would tell herself in order to build that fortress around her heart. Nadya eyed Frost from her new position further from him as he stood having blocked her strike from his face but stained his shirt in blood from slicing his arm. It was far from being a lasting injury as his face would have been.
Frost was quick as well to fire back with his own retort, though his version utilizing his illusion ability to so strike at Nadya's emotions through his memories of the times they had shared together. The hot tub was the first time they had kissed...accidental but a flicker of knowledge to what could be had, the simple moments of being in each others presence at her apartment, her straddling him after healing him from near death and their embrace, to the twin's birthday with her precious daughter so real sitting upon the walkway clutching that beloved horse toy. How worn it had become over the year as Izzy had decided it needed to go everywhere with her for quite some time.
Nadya's gaze slid back to Frost. "You may not have meant to kill my brother...but you did...and now we all must deal with the consequences. If you care for me...leave us be, leave me be. Don't make me have to kill you." It was the best she could do; she could concede to Frost that it hadn't been his intention to kill her brother, but she couldn't ignore that it had been done at his hands. What would that say about her if she went to him now? And for that her heart felt as equally as shredded. Her warning was done now and so the large ebony jaguar turned about and stalked away in hopes that Frost would at least be able to heed the warning.
