Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

There was a tender look upon his features, even as his fingers lightly danced across that piano. That piano like harpsichord's melody was entirely unique, even as it reverberated in that tiled room. Those musical instruments were nearly apart of his soul, each one chosen with particular care. This one, surely, would have a place all on it's own, second only to that piano of his late master that he'd spent a near fortune on. Softly, the vampire offered his word of thanks for each fae's contribution to this Christmas gift, this present was one it was unlikely he would ever forget. Those warm grins he was offered caused his own features to brighten in a smile of appreciation. In truth, he hadn't considered bringing Bernard home with him. The vampire nibbled ever so slightly on his bottom lip in consideration of shipping that piano overseas, the sheer notion alone enough to cause his heart to flutter in concern. Although Matteo had offered that piano renewed life, he hardly trusted those transporters to see that delicate instrument cross seas. "Perhaps..." He uttered softly, clearly contemplating that journey. After all, there was no reason Bernard could not remain here. With an eternity stretching out before them, surely they would return to this palace frequently enough, considering law so required their presence to see Dorian's claim to the throne remain in tact.

He fell silent in the aftermath of that gift, simply observing that velvet pouch that was extended towards Dorian, placed firmly in the man's hand. He was inquisitive of it's contents, naturally, and yet this was a moment between father and son, one in which Sebastian had no intentions of interrupting in any fashion. It was with a measure of inquisitiveness that the vampire watched as his lover plucked that medallion from the depths of that darkly hued bag. A single glance was all that was required for the man to know what rested within the palm of that pale hand. It had hardly occurred to him that Matteo had failed to provide the monarch with even a token for his affection, though, perhaps in those years spent in prison, a friend was far more worthwhile than a father. There was little doubt within the vampire's mind that France would certainly be a destination in the near time to come, the offer of those villas and chalets surely welcomed. In truth, the Englishman adored that French countryside, and, in turn, had every intention of showing his lover the quaintness of those chateaus surrounded by those rolling hills of flowers. His own head bobbed ever so slightly as if to confirm the monarch's words that such a gift was wholly appreciated.

It was, however, that mention of that age old nursery rhyme that brought a soft chuckle to his lips, his head shaking ever so slightly. It was no secret that Scotland and England had a complicated relationship. It was curious that the unicorn that had come to signify that country beneath British rule was the very same creature printed upon that medallion. "I think England may be willing to stay it's claws for France." He offered, entirely amused by the notion all the same. He scarcely anticipated the addition of that envelope placed within his lover's hand and yet, Sebastian did not question it. Rather, he offered the elder fae a singular encouraging glance in the wake of that softly uttered admittance, forever making an effort to see the pair reunited as they should have surely been. Although it was not for their benefit, that the Frenchman decided to return to the city they'd come from, he would take it all the same. He hardly, however, expected the truth behind Matteo's return to Sacrosanct. His own eyebrows raised ever so slightly at the notion of gambling with places of such distinct value. Then again, Sebastian had been willing to protect Belton with his very life. He'd quite literally whored himself to the richest buyer to purchase those estates from his family - keeping them within the Ellington name while so providing them with the money they desperately needed. Hell, the promise he'd made to his father on the man's deathbed. The simple notion of such high stakes was enough to make him cringe inwardly. Then again, who was he to judge Matteo's affairs.

His own hand fit ever so firmly within the Frenchman's own, offering him that simple handshake as a way of goodbye, even if such a parting came with a fleeting word of warning that, likely, the entire trio anticipated. The President would surely be an eternal thorn within their side, at least for the remainder of his time in office. Thankfully, such was entirely fleeting compared to the longevity of the Italian crown. Truly, how much damage could several years of political difficulties do for them? Though, the moment that simple thought crossed his mind, he almost regretted it. Thankfully, it was but moments later that Matteo took his leave, and, in turn, Sebastian found himself once again alone in the presence of his boyfriend. The soft press of Dorian's lips across his cheek so pulled his attention from those internal considerations, the vampire inclined wholly to agree to that bed. He could feel the approach of the sun within his very bones, that need for sleep so tugging at him with each passing moment. Those clothes were discarded with particular ease, that night time ritual continuing in the same fashion it always did from teeth brushing to face washing before the man, eventually, slipped between those sheets at Dorian's side.

A small simper crossed his features as Dorian settled onto his chest, his own hand delicately reaching out to toy softly with those locks that framed his lover's face. That simple kiss was relished entirely, despite how utterly fleeting it was and yet, Dorian seemed hardly inclined to forget that mysterious envelope Matteo had passed to them before that final departure. He watched as the King pulled it from the side table, merely upending it upon the paleness of Sebastian's own chest and yet, he could hardly help that simple look that crossed his features at the sight of those keys. "That cheeky bastard." He muttered to himself. Matteo had so lectured him of keeping the vehicle safe when he had planned to give it to them all along!
