Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

she found out she couldn't fly.

1234

She is a mess of anticipation, shifting from foot to foot and wondering if she should just get out of here while she's still got time - before she can embarrass herself any further. The sound of footsteps shuffling towards the door tells her she's too late for her last minute escape plan and she sighs heavily, an awkward smile playing at her mouth when the door cracks open just enough for her to see Frost peer out, nightfall casting shadows across his face.

'Now then, what brings you to my door tonight, hmm?' She gives a strangled half-laugh, her arms crossed across her chest while her hands rub the cold from her arms. "I..Well, I'm not sure, really. I was walking by your house - I didn't know this was your house, though - and I sort of..." She cuts off, obviously embarrassed for the intrusion, her face twisting into a grimace. "I smelled you, and it was familiar and I had nowhere else to really go, so I followed the scent. Here I am," she finishes the rant with an exasperated sigh, wondering how she'd let herself sink this low.

A shuffle behind him catches her attention and she cocks her head to the side, trying to catch a glance of the person standing in the doorway. She sniffs at the air, her eyes narrowed in concentration, annoyed at how much more difficult it is to truly decipher certain scents in this useless human form. But there it is, that undercurrent of fox. Excitement sparks like fire in her chest and her gaze shifts from the figure obscured behind Frost back to him. "You have company already, it would seem."

Without waiting for him to reply, she steps closer, rolling forward onto her toes to glance over his shoulder for a better look. In this close proximity, the smell of fox is stronger, more pronounced without Frost's equine smell acting as a firm buffer between them. Her eyes adjust quickly to the dark and the girl comes into focus, a dirty and bloody mess, her blonde hair tangled about her shoulders.

Cecily stifles a gasp with her hand, moisture pooling in her eyes even as her mind refuses to believe what they are seeing, telling her it can't be, that the alcohol she'd had earlier must be playing tricks with her. After all this time, she couldn't possibly be here.

With him.

"Claire?" Her voice cracks, her hands tremble against her mouth. She is afraid to breathe, afraid that she'll open her eyes and realize this was a dream, or a nightmare.
