Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Sebastian Ellington
I thought you knew I was filthy rich
I thought you knew I never answer my phone
I thought you knew I was a late night with a bad bite I thought you knew.
There was something utterly breathtaking of that joyous chuckle that so left his lover's lips, that simple sound so easily capable of bringing a grin to his own features when he thought it wholly impossible. Still, Sebastian found himself enjoying that delectable piece of chocolate within his mouth, his bright blue eyes settled upon the King as he so willingly indulged the man in that 'unkingly' playfulness that so seemed to afflict the pair in spite of all that had occurred tonight. It was decidedly important to him to end the evening on what little of a high note they could. His lover, however, seemed entirely game. The man was rather keen to show off that rather unroyal skill he had picked up, rolling on his back in order to so display it. The vampire shifted to his side, entirely determined to remain near the man, those simple desires to be close had still not yet waned in the wake of that threat Anna-Marie had so placed before them. It was silly, really, the way those considerations of Dorian's death could so prompt a near need to cling to the King's side and yet, he suspected those wants would persist within him for several days still, much less that desire to simply remain here with the man in that perceived place of safety.
He allowed such idle compulsions to pass for the moment as Dorian so tossed that truffle into the air, catching it within his mouth with utter ease. Those inclinations he uttered to so throw food at his companion were met with but that simple roll of the fae King's eyes. He could hardly help the soft chuckle that left his lips and yet, in the wake of all of that he admitted perhaps his own skill with such food related party tricks. That cherry stem was hardly astounding in any sense. Really, there were many who were capable of such a thing and yet, a small shrug crossed his shoulders at that glimpse of surprise that so crossed the Monarch's features. Clearly, he'd forgotten how modern such an antic was within the first place. Still, that teasing tone that left the fae King's lips only served to bring laughter from his lips in return. "Perhaps I'll have to remind you of talents tomorrow evening." He commented in a tone clearly just as suggestive and yet, such was a gave for tomorrow. Tonight was still far too close to ending, he could feel the sun creeping ever so closer and that exhaustion of the night was clearly tugging upon them both, even if neither was truly prepared to retire quite yet - not when there was still one truffle left to indulge within!
It was that very one that so pulled at the vampire's attention and yet, he had truly little time to consider that game before his lover simply vanished from his side, followed by nearly all visible indications of the King - except one. His gaze fluttered towards the edge of the bed as those blankets shifted abruptly and yet, the lump beneath those sheets told him well enough where his lover was. A soft snort left his nose as he peeked beneath the sheets and towards that very place where he so knew his boyfriend to be. He tugged ever so lightly at that red thread, allowing the Monarch a glimpse of that thread that so grounded him to the man he loved so dearly. He watched as that threads was so delicately lifted from the bed, clearly considered carefully before that inquiry so left his lover's lips. A small grin danced across the vampire's features before he slowly nodded in response, "It does, all the time. You should see it when we've been...particularly busy, it gets stuck all around the furniture. It drives me absolutely nuts sometimes but...it always works itself out." A small shrug crossed his shoulders, the man unwilling to admit that he had, perhaps, attempted that very thing Dorian had so suggested in those early days - till he discovered that the sight of it made catching his prey decidedly difficult. Not many wanted any to do with a man chasing invisible knots. Food, he'd decided, was far better than a twisted, knot free thread, especially when there were so many in the world.
Even so, the vampire held out his hand for that last truffle, far more interested in the taste of chocolate that would soon be on his lips. A soft sound of satisfaction reverberated in his throat as that piece of chocolate was placed in his hand, the vampire ducking beneath those sheets as he undid that wrapper, taking a bite of exactly half of that piece of chocolate. He reached out, drawing the ruler closer towards him, the vampire gifted not only with that visibility of the man but too, his form tucked against the Englishman's own. That gentle kiss beneath his jaw brought a smile upon his features as he reached down to place that other half of that chocolate within his lover's own mouth. For a moment, at least, he was content to enjoy that treat before the humor of the entire scenario so struck him. Here was the man he so cherished, one that female dark hunter had been assured he'd kidnapped, and they were hiding under the blankets from the entire world. The undeniable humor of it all prompted the man to share what his evening had consisted of prior to returning home to discover his Maker within his living room. Thankfully, the sheer ridiculousness of it all was clearly not lost upon Dorian either. That clear grin and warm chuckle following in the wake of that tale before Dorian so insisted he was willing enough to be Sebastian's captive - provided he was allowed the right luxuries. "Really? That is all you need?" He inquired, his eyebrows raising before the vampire shook his head ever so slightly, "No, I don't think I can, I mean, we still have the whole world to travel before I consider locking you away for myself." There was a teasing hint to his tone as he leaned down just enough to place his lips upon the King's forehead in a kiss that was entire chaste, though none-the-less affectionate in nature.
He hardly protested as Dorian reached up to toss that blanket back, the vampire instead shifting to join the Monarch upon those very pillows as he savored those last bits of chocolate within his mouth. That soft sound of his lover's voice drew his gaze as he inquired, "Hm?" Those words that followed, however, coaxed a small simper to his lips. "I think that sounds wonderful, Dorian...in fact, I think we should start now." He muttered softly. The vampire shifted only to pull that shirt off of his frame, the man wiggling free of his jeans before moving to assist the King in so undressing. Those clothes were near tossed upon the floor, discarded without a care as he nestled against that warm frame, the vampire entirely content to hold his lover close. He tried, truly, to stay up until that sun peeked over that horizon, simply relishing in his lover's presence and that quiet, peacefulness that so surrounded them and yet, truthfully, he could his eyes growing heavy and far more time spent between replies on either of them before the man simply gave into that exhaustion - all the while ensuring he kept his lover close.
