Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Some potions, Serafina was certain, were the very bane of the witch's existence. This one was one of those. Usually, she avoided crafting any sort of magical artifact that made the young woman go particularly out of her way. A few dash of rare herbs? No problem, she could get her hands on that. But the hairs of a black cat? Really? As if that wasn't terribly cliche as it was, it wasn't as if the girl particularly kept a black cat around for handy spell convenience. She tried to use the fur of her familiar but were wolf fur didn't quite pack the same punch as a bit of DNA from the stereotypical witch companion, apparently. She'd tried to go the easy route, she visited the local shelter with the feigned intention of adopting one of those black felines. They were often discarded as unwanted because of that perception that they were evil but she'd hardly gotten the darn thing out of her car before he'd escaped, as if he sensed her witchy ways. Really, Serafina had little intention of hurting the cat. Just a few plucks of fur and then she'd feed it some tuna or....whatever it was cats ate. Milk? Did cats still drink milk? Maybe she didn't think this whole thing threw but the price her client was willing to pay for this potion had been right.
The young woman stalked down those familiar streets, holding that pathetic excuse for a cat crate the pound had given her. She could see the critter, racing from one car to the next any time she got close and yet, in those heeled boots, the witch had little intention of running after the damned animal.
A soft huff left her lips before those eyes settled upon a young woman across the street. Hmm...maybe she had seen something.
