Anacosta Heights

Hawethorn Village

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

we all fall down like toy soldiers

The cat had been curled around his feet, wrapping his tail around his ankles and purring like a small engine. Finn could crack a grin, shooting a look down at the feline, but when the cat took off he shrugged it off. Months of living in the dark places of towns gave him a certain affinity to the shiftings of the darkness. A sixth sense that someone was behind him or staring at him. He'd been bouncing between siblings, never really staying in one place for too long before he'd taken off. He could only imagine everyone's reactions when he suddenly turned up again. He didn't make a habit of it, he never had, so for him to just up and leave was monumental.

His fingers gripped the neck of the bottle of beer, swirling the contents inside and not exactly paying any attention to what was going on around him. It looked like something had gone down in this room, there were dark grooves in the walls and he could only ponder the whys of it.

There was a clearing of a throat, the only warning he had before the couch flipped and the noise that came from his lips was anything but manly. It was a mix between a yelp and a whine as he realized that the rest of his beer ended up soaking the floor around him and seeping into his pants. He was sprawled out across the floor and all he did was sigh and lean back, tilting his head back to stare up at his brother.

"I wasn't done with that yet..." he mutters, gesturing at the bottle still rolling around beside him.

"You...did what to my bed? Why in the world would you do that, such a waste" but it was probably deserved, it was most likely disgusting at that point.

"It was not my car, I was only...borrowing it, I use that term lightly." His extricated himself from the overturned couch, rubbing the back of his head absent-mindedly.

It was only when he mentioned his xbox that his eyebrows shot up and his voice was almost whining, "But I wasn't done with the boss yet, it took me AGES to do that."

"Wait."

He pauses, waits a moment, "What am I apologizing for?" He asks, climbing to his feet and toeing the bottle around the floor. When he mentioned bowing, he snorted and bent to grab another beer, too tired to even indulge.

"It doesn't take a rocket scientist to find you. I just look for the darkest place on the block. And the convenience store workers are perceptive, I'm sure if I got them all together it'd be a cinch." His eyes were dancing with amusement; he'd missed the bantering. Missed having someone around who knew him and knew his past, he didn't need to explain himself, it was comfortable and routine and he needed some form of structure in his life at the moment.
