Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Cause i've been dancing with shadows
waiting till the morning after

In truth, though Sebastian had consider a great amount of those details of that upcoming wedding, very few truly lingered with any great weight upon the heart of the vampire. It was the sole issue of that new last name he was certain he would have to take up that perturbed him the most, if only for that very promise the man had spoken of. All the other particularities of that royal ceremony paled in comparison to his fiancee's happiness. It was that, above all else, that the vampire truly cared for. The design of the china, the color of the napkins, the types of flowers, all if it mattered only if Dorian was pleased. After all, Sebastian had already had his first wedding and this one would, hopefully, be the first and last Dorian ever experienced. He was quite near determined to keep his relationship in tact, regardless of what it might cost him. That sheer magnitude of love he had for the fae King certainly was capable of prompting the man to do rather foolish things, even at his own expense. If he had learned anything during that relatively short marriage, it was that keeping his significant other happy was his primary priority, regardless of how difficult it might be. To fail, he had learned, could have drastic consequences. It was a childish logic, even his ever critical mind was aware of that and yet his heart seemed to so steadfastly believe that such was surely the key to keeping this marriage intact.

That glimpse of surprise that seemed to flutter across Dorian's features only served to prompt his own eyebrows to furrow ever so slightly. Had the Monarch not realized yet of how utterly important that one singular fact was to the vampire? He was aware of that change to Dorian's features, that surprise somehow softened into something else entirely. Those bright blue eyes remained steadfast upon the King, the Englishman watched as Dorian's lips parted only for the man to seem to change his mind. Even so, those words he was offered still managed to bring a smile to his features. That soft stolen kiss was all too eagerly returned, even if it was but entirely fleeting. "Good." Sebastian responded, his voice entirely soft, that intimate moment surely meant for them alone rather than the staff that milled about that chocolate store. "I intend to ensure you stay that way." No matter what. Though that final sentence remained unspoken, the thought still lingered within the man's mind, at least, until his lover's gaze seemed to shift to that watch on his wrist. That idle comment of the second part of their evening brought an inquiry to his lips, even if Sebastian hardly anticipated a reply. He knew Dorian well enough to not truly attempt to coax the truth from the man on those surprised well before Dorian was ready to reveal them. Rather, Sebastian simply set about collecting that chocolate before his fingers threaded with Dorian's own.

It was only once those words of thanks were given yet again to the staff and the owner of that chocolate store that Sebastian allowed himself to be lead back to the comfortably dark depths of that car. He hardly protested as Dorian stole another piece of chocolate from that bag, the man instead focused upon that seat belt before he settled into the leather of that seat at his fiancee's side. That idle comment of the hiring of that wedding planner brought a glimpse of surprise upon his features, though truly he hadn't anticipated how long it might take to organize an event such as this in the first place. It wasn't as if he had any sort of frame of reference to draw from with an undertaking quite this large. Then again, he supposed the sooner the whole affair was scheduled, the sooner those nuptials could be spoken and that commitment made - one that he was altogether ready to offer the fae King. That mention of that guest list, however, prompted a soft sigh from his lips. He'd considered whom he might invite to that ceremony and yet he'd hardly actually started writing down their names in any organized fashion. He was certain there was someone whom he might forget to invite, the man at least aware that such invitations had to be sent to just about anyone he was connected to if only for how utterly important such an event was.

That warm chuckle upon the King's lips drew his eyes and yet, he'd hardly considered that Dorian might instead suffer from a problem far different than his own. After all, the fae King had been confined to a single place for centuries - the number of guests he might have that he truly knew was surely limited to the amount of time that Sebastian himself had lingered within the man's life. Even so, a small shrug crossed his shoulders in consideration of that ever growing guest list. "It might not be a bad thing...I mean...politically. You would get to meet everyone face to face. Not that our day should be about politics but...I suppose it is a little inevitable." Though that day was entirely supposed to be about them and their commitment to each other, Sebastian was hardly unreasonable. This, he was sure, was part of marrying a King. Inviting all of those dignitaries and royalties could be near invaluable. That inquiry of whom he might wish to invite to such an affair prompted a small frown upon his features and yet, the staff of Belton was the first to come to his mind. The family line, after all, had been looking after and serving him for near two hundred years. It simply seemed necessary to have them at such an important event. Arlo, however, came to a close second on that list, considering he had already extended an invitation to the man well before ever having asked for Dorian's hand in the first place.

It was the mention of Arlo's pet...thing...that seemed to intrigue his lover the most. His head shook ever so slightly at that question of whether or not she minded. "He treats her more like a stray cat I guess. She comes and goes as she pleases. I suppose she doesn't mind, I would think if she did than she would come clean about being human. I don't know, he's shown me pictures of her and her eyes just don't seem right for an animal. She has human colored eyes." It was a near minute detail and yet one Sebastian had picked up on near automatically all the same. The hue simply wasn't at all like those of her species. They were brighter, more intelligent, more alive. That sudden invitation to invite them over one evening, however, caught the man off guard. His head slowly bobbed in agreement. "That might be nice. I'll ask him when we return home." He could hardly help that small simper upon his features. After all, it wasn't often Sebastian made true friends, the idea of introducing the two men was certainly pleasing...provided Arlo was able to keep his fangs to himself. There was, he was certain, no quicker way to end a friendship then to bite the man he so desperately loved. His thoughts, however, were drawn from such a place by that question of the young woman's species. "She's a red-panda. I've never seen one in real life. They are rather elusive creatures..." Adorable things, but elusive nonetheless. Even when zoos had managed to capture them, they were more inclined to stay curled up in trees high above paying customers then to interact with those who wished to see them.

Even with that talk of that panda, the vampire still lingered upon that guest list, the man commenting out loud of his business partners that would surely expect an invitation before he seemed to pause in consideration over one group of individuals he had quite nearly forgotten of - his coven. He had never really spoken of that group he had once belonged to, his role had become increasingly inactive the more his relationship with Dorian had deepened and yet, Isolt had never called on him either. It seemed like a mutual disinterest and yet, surely, they were aware of his involvement in the Italian crown and the upcoming wedding. After all, such an engagement had quite made the world news. He watched in silence as Dorian seemed to consider that inquiry before presenting a line of thought he hadn't truly considered. His own features twisted to a pensiveness of sorts before the vampire simply shrugged in indifference. "Eh...Isolt doesn't quite enjoy taking from the unwilling. She's a gentle soul, her fiance is ass but, he wouldn't act out in front of her. Chizue doesn't even eat blood altogether, the girl blushes even at the sight of me and...Ceara is just....Ceara." He shook his head ever so slightly, that name, at least, surely familiar enough to his lover. Even so, he was hardly oblivious of one singular simple fact - Ceara and him in the same room tended to prompt the appearance of Anna-Marie herself. His maker was an individual he certainly did not want to be apart of that guest list - less she ruin the whole day entirely. It was almost flippantly, the way he waved off that idea of his coven altogether. Though he was hardly as concerned of their eating habits after consideration, he truly was invested enough in them either to desire their presence greatly at all.

It was, however, that inquiry of his Best Man that prompted his thoughts to shift from that list to an affair he hadn't considered at all, up until this very point. Slowly, his head shook, that frown once again present upon his features. "I guess I could ask Giles...." He commented softly in consideration. After all, the man certainly wasn't enough of a father figure to warrant a presence in that wedding party itself and yet, he had been at Sebastian's side for the majority of his life. He certainly deserved a place of some noteworthiness. His gaze slowly shifted back towards the Monarch at this mention of Alexander taking up that role. Though he was hardly opposed to the Dark Hunter in the slightest, he was almost surprised that he might be the only individual Dorian would consider in such a place. "You also have that Troy fellow." He pointed out, the vampire quite easily recalling that name of that peculiar fae and his pregnant vampire....wife? "And that um....councilman...government person you keep going to see." After all, Dorian leaving the house alone to venture into the city was a decidedly rare thing, one that hardly went unnoticed by the vampire, even if he had not truly questioned after the details of his lover's associates.

It was the sudden stopping of that car, however, that prompted that talk of guests and their wedding to be cut so suddenly short. His bright blue eyes turned towards that plane with a hint of curious disbelief. He knew well Dorian's apprehension to water and yet, Sebastian was entirely surprised that the King intended to take them some place where such landing gear would be necessary. He stepped out of that car, following the Monarch as that wind so tugged at his shorter dirty blond locks. That surprise upon his features was surely unmistakeable, even as the vampire nodded in response. He followed the fae King towards that peculiar little plane, easily climbing up into the depths of it before ensuring both of them were properly and safely belted in. Quite frankly, he was almost surprised Dorian was even willing to venture into such a seafaring plane in the first place.
