Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

dance to the rhythm of your heartbeat

Baby blue eyes watch from beneath those thick lashes as he prowls a over to her with that wicked smile and predatory stare that so often quickened her heart beneath such a look, and all she does is question him with a raised brow and that boldness flashing across her gaze while she wonders what it was that he was up to. By now, she knew that look anyway and recognised it near instantly as it found its way onto those handsome features that could only ever belong to the fae man before her now. He was clearly up to something, and yet despite that obvious suggestion that his next move was bound to do something to the young woman, there was absolutely no way that she would have entirely expected what it was that would come next. She trusted him, though. Trusted him like she'd never never trusted another soul outside her family, and even then there was something different in how she so easily placed her life into those strong hands of his without so much as a fleeting second thought. After all, she trusted him with her heart, even if he didn't know it... even if she knew that in the end it would only break as he unknowingly left it behind for someone that he could be entirely and eternal happy with. There was no hesitancy, no wariness or suspicion that found those baby blues as they did not falter for even a fleeting moment from those hazel depths she could look into for all of eternity if she could ever hopelessly wish to live so long. No, there is only a pure and unwavering trust there despite the look of her own that she fixed Andras with, wordlessly asking him just what sort of idea he'd managed to get into that mind of his. Leave it to the fae man to be so daring, so bold in his gestures and advances that might practically have Beylani involuntarily repeating that sudden faint from last night when they'd unintentionally happened onto the other's company in those steamy waters of the hotsprings atop the lodge beneath that sky full of stars. The memory is nearly fully upon her, threatening to engulf her then but it was that swift and sweeping motion that allows for her to break away from that impending rush of emotion that would have likely followed mere moments later.

In his arms, wrapped up in the embrace that her slender frame so clearly seemed to remember from that night when he'd saved her from death's cold claws that had come so close to stealing away her one and only life so frightfully soon, the blue-eyed blonde melts into him. The warmth of his closeness as he holds onto her only to place his chin over her head is enough to distract her then from the way the way that those toned muscles tense in preparation for their next motion as she finds herself wanting to forever remain there against him. That contentment is chased away mere seconds later however when suddenly those massive wings send them ever higher into the cold winter air and while her cheeks become even more colored beneath that chill, the young girl woman herself can only feel the warmth and exhilaration as they are soaring easily over the village. It was an amazing sight to behold, one that she knew she would never forger as was with all those memories that she shared with Andras. So caught up in the twinkling lights and the fae folk that stir below as they traverse those cobblestone streets, reveling in the festivities of the Winter Solstice Festival that there were to indulge in, Beylani is hardly away of the way that those hazel eyes seem to linger on her as they circle over Somnia. As she speaks of how she would glide through the night sky as well if she had wings of her own, her gaze shifts then away from trouble world beneath them to see his hazel gaze flickering with a light that she could have sworn held a wistfulness, a longing not too much unlike her own when she thought of how she would give up so much simply to call him hers entirely and she his now and forever. There was a faltering in the amused laughter and mischievous glimmer that almost had Beylani asking the fae man if everything was a alright, what it was that those words for hers had awoken in his thoughts that remained just beyond her ability to understand as they danced across his gaze, but as she so often did when she felt she might be brave enough to ask such a question, she hesitates. His face comes closer to her own and she refrains from leaning her head towards his own, a shiver unbidden racing through her as she feels those gently ushered tenor tones are murmured into her ear then. Was she just imagining that maybe there was more meaning to the words that he'd spoken than they let on? It doesn't matter if there is or not, you're just reading into it more than you should, Lani. It wasn't like he would ever wish that change upon the young woman, their conversation from last night still very much fresh in her mind.

She says nothing in reply to those words, a dark chuckle falling over her as they draw closer to that small cabin standing along among the trees. It seemed like an unusual place for it, separated from the rest of the village while only appearing to be a short distance away from the lodge itself. Maybe that was where Ida stayed? Or maybe it was a quiet escape for Andras when he didn't wish for the constant needs of his people to weigh on those broad shoulders. She has no time to ask though as they are suddenly freefalling through the air, those arms throwing themselves tightly around Andras as she feels her stomach flip in her gut. She was genuinely surprised that she did not scream, but she could only validate that lack of sound by the fact that she held her breath almost as though they were about to crash into water as she clung to him out of what was surely instinct as well as fright. She can hear his wicked laughter as he even goes to the length of maneuvering as they fell from the sky, sending those elegant and loosely curled golden locks swirling wildly around drinking them. Even the roller coasters she'd braved as a child when the fair would come to Willowhaven could not even come close to this. Her eyes close tightly as it seems almost like they would crash into the snowy ground when just like that, those bat-like appendages snap open and their wild descent is brought to a halt at last they finally meet solid earth, sometginf she didn't think she'd be more happy to find under her feet as he goes to set her down. She doesn't miss for a second the wild amusement that is written blatantly on the fae man's face as he helps steady her slightly weakened legs. He shrugs in an almost nonchalant way beneath her playful glare and exclamation, his amusement only seeming to deepen as she gives him a playful shove that she knew entirely too well wouldn't even move him.

Midnight tenor tones reply to her own string of words, that lower lip jutting out slightly in that false pout that only brings that boldness burning even brighter as she straightens her clothes as she continues to fix him with that look."Yes, only indeed. Perhaps next time you can give me a warning before you decide to do a stunt like that", she remarks in playful exasperation though that smile on her lips betray the fondness she felt for him, her own amusement in his attempt at feigning innocence softening baby blue eyes. He goes on to say that he needed to condition her to such a feat and she gives him a knowing look, lifting a brow at Andras."If I know you as well as I think I do, it'll be too soon before you pull such a feat again", she teases affectionately, that smile on blush-colored lips shifting into that coy and daring smile before he laces his fingers between her own and leads her up to the cabin. When he pushes open that door and the warmth comes rushing out to kiss her rosy cheeks, she is greeted by what was perhaps the most cozy little place she'd ever seen. Everything from the plush bed to the warm decor instills in her a entirely different warmth as leaves the place beside Andras to stand at the heart of what he then says was his gift to her. If only he knew just how much harder he made it for her to think that she would need to return to Sacrosanct, especially now when she had a little place of her own here in a world she desperately wished she could belong in. He murmurs softly to her then as she expresses her adoration for what he'd surely had made for her, almost entirely certain he'd been the one to decorate it in that rustic pine garland. He closes the small distance between them, removing that gift from his pocket and she smiles gently up to the fae man as baby blue meets with hazel in that familiar embrace that often seemed to feel more than a true touch of his hand on her skin. It was always like he was searching her soul in those moments just as she was his. How she would always find herself wishing more and more with each soft gaze they would share that just maybe she might see those feelings in her heart being returned. No matter how many times she would tell herself that there were no such feelings for her in the fae man, she couldn't bring herself to stop hoping that it would change with time.

As he moves to settle into that place beside her on the edge of the bed, she can feel her heart beginning to beat a little faster within her breast. She remembers well what had happened the last time that they'd been in bed together, the warm glow of the fire making that memory all too easy to recall but she pushes it away. This moment was different. I hope Ida was right. The blue-eyed blonde had almost been tempted to place a twig in terms ribbon just to see what he might think, but she hadn't. She turns her full attention to him now, those large wings almost seeming to be wrapping around Beylani and Andras in a sort of embrace as they settle comfortably in their place. When she hands him that carefully dressed gift, an eagerness seems to find those hazel eyes and she cannot help the anticipation that fills her when finally he finds the scarf inside and his gaze softens. She knows even before he says anything that he liked the gift that she'd made him. She smiles gently, thoughtfully when he confirms what his hazel gaze had already told her, leaning towards her then to place a chaste kiss on the skin of her forehead. She admires him and the colors of that blue and green plaid scarf seemed to suit him somehow."I'm glad you like it. I thought it would be nice to have something that might keep you warm as you fly under the stars", she breathes quietly to him, remembering that night when she'd first seen him, only able to think of how cold he must have been with his bare chest exposed to the early morning chill that enveloped the small clearing bathed in moonlight. He reaches for her then, a strong hand brushing windswept hair behind her ear as he speaks of having her things moved here and she smiles softly."Perhaps some of them, but not all. Just in case", she answers thoughtfully. In case of what? She very much adored this cabin, but what she doesn't say is that she loved how close her room in the lodge was to his own. She wanted to be near him every chance that she could get, and she almost confesses this to him but he stops herself.

Thick lashes blink over baby blue as she looks up to him as his skin brushes lightly against her jawline as it had in the hotsprings while he plays with a rebellious strand of her hair, the daylight filtering through the windows though she can only see him and the firelight, those wings that surrounded them. She looks up to those decorations above them for reasons unknown to her then and she finds something there in the garland weaved through the chandelier that she'd missed earlier. Small white berries poke through the deep green and she realizes then what they were; mistletoe. Had he planned that, too? Surely not... and yet, she could hardly help herself as she rises from that place beside Andras, not giving herself time to hesitate now. She moves to stand in perhaps the most dangerous of places, between his legs with the jean material over her hips brush on the insides of each knee. The young woman ignores the pounding of her heart in her chest and the butterflies in her stomach as she leans into him then, resting a hand on his cheek while the other lingers over his hand as blush-colored lips press gently, tenderly, against his own, baby blue eyes closing as she relished in the taste of that nearly simple and singular lingering kiss. Almost reluctantly pulling away from him though she lingers there in front of him, hands remaining where they were as she searches those dark hazels."I hope you didn't mind... It's bad luck not to kiss under mistletoe", she whispers softly to the fae man then, her gaze glittering brightly as she remains only a breath away from him then. He'd stolen a kiss from her earlier, so she reasoned that it was only entirely fair for Beylani to return that gesture. There is an ever so subtle trace of that want she felt for the fae man that she had once tried so very hard to keep to herself, but there was no use in trying to hide it. Not anymore, not since last night, and while she would never ask for a kiss from him she couldn't stop herself from stealing one now. Just this once... There wouldn't be another moment like this, or so she was determined to make herself believe.
