Hawethorn Village

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

death incarnate & night triumphant

The man hardly presses Lani for more information, the woman seeming evasive about something. What, Andras didn't know but he was patient enough to play along. It was amazing the patience you could find when you were an immortal. As their conversation shifts to her parents, he's pleased the way she responds to him, the Fae never tiring of her company as he merely flashes her a smile, giving her a small nod. The way she admits that there is only him in her life, Andras can't help but feel that swell of male satisfaction within his body, his eyes softening at her admittance. How he wanted to be the only one for her for the rest of her days, how Andras wished his immortality would simply stop and allow him to age normally, to pass on into the void when Lani went. He hardly knew how he could manage to feel so much for someone who he had only known for a few short months. He was certain he would still be wandering the world in search of faeries, giving those in need sanctuary, forever alone. Before Lani, loneliness was something he had come to accept, something that he hardly minded especially running a court, but now... he couldn't see his life without her. He should tell her, offer himself up to her if she so wanted him, even knowing the dangers and the inevitable outcome. He would tell her.

A pang of sadness rolls through his gut but the man carefully hides it, not wanting to ruin their time together in the moment. Again, his mind replays those words "There's only you...," and Andras smiles again, reaching a finger out to flick the tip of her nose. "This pleases me immensely," he says then, casting her a wink though he doesn't afford anymore information. Closing that distance between them, Andras can hear her fluttering heart begin to wildly race beneath her chest; that devilish grin so finding his lips in that moment. How pleased he was he could still coax such a thing from the woman, how his mere presence nearly set her on fire; though, if he had to admit, her presence did the same to him. Snaking a hand up to rest on her cheek, he glances down at the blonde woman, though, he's briefly distracted by the movements of her fingers as they come to rest on his chest only to begin fiddling with those buttons there. Nostrils flare as his eyes hood, that predatory look so entering his gaze. He's ready to sweep her off her feet and find that room of hers, even if he had to throw that damn cat out of the window.

Yet, before he can make a move, she's pulling away, removing herself from him and though he feels a pang of disappointment in his gut, he allows it, merely because right now was not the time to be doing such... things. Relinquishing her cheek, he follows her with those dark hazel eyes as she crosses the kitchen, prepared to finish that meal. He's already closing that distance between them once more when she mentions Frost, Andras entirely halting in his movements as he demands she doesn't see him. Reaching out and grasping her arm, he turns her as that seriousness enters his eyes, though there is a touch of fear for her hiding in the depths. Andras had yet to meet this man but the stories he heard... made him feel uneasy and for a fragile human like Lani, it wouldn't take much for the leader of one of the packs to hurt her. When she agrees that she would try and stay away from him, Andras pushes the issue away. He didn't want to frighten the woman but again, this was not the time and place to be having such discussions, perhaps later he would explain. Releasing a sigh, he forces a smile to his lips before he maneuvers himself next to the woman, successfully pushing her out of the way as he begins work on that dish, demanding she retrieve drinks for the two of them.

Their conversation is easy for the time being as Lani pours the two of them drinks, handing him one that he simply takes and sets on the counter next to him, though her next set of words has him blinking at her in confusion, those dark hazel eyes turning on the woman. "What makes you think I don't need to eat?" He inquires, his brows arching at her in amusement. Of course, he did know several immortals that did not eat, their make entirely different than others allowing them to not have to eat. Dorian being one of the few faeries he knew that didn't need to rely on food to keep him going. "By the time food starts to get boring a new wave of food comes out, it tends to keep things interesting," Andras offers her a smile, his head tilting at the woman, "Although, you're correct, I can never tire of those kabobs, even after all these centuries," he laughs quietly as he turns back to the preparations at hand. When he finishes, he quickly gathers the dish in his hand before he slips it into the oven, his dark eyes traveling to Lani briefly as he watches her take a sip of that wine. Once that oven door is closed, he closes that distance between them, his hand reaching out as he plucks that glass from her hand and setting it aside, his body pressing up against her.

The moment his name leaves her lips, it frays that control just a touch more as he settles his hands on her hips and reaches down to kiss her. The taste of wine on her lips, the taste of her was delicious. The man could survive off her and only her for the rest of his days. As her lips eagerly move against him, he's delighted as he grasps her waist gently and picks her up so that she's sitting on that table. Forcing his body between her legs, he lifts a hand to cup her neck, tilting her head back so that he can deepen that kiss. He's altogether aware of the way that Lani's hands find his shirt again, her slender fingers working on those buttons. Yet, Andras hardly minds. He was tired of waiting, he wanted this woman now. Truly, the Fae had quite nearly forgotten why he was here for the evening, his senses entirely focused on Lani that he isn't aware of the approach of her parents until that knock comes. Andras tears away from her, his own breaths coming in soft pants. Lani's soft exclamation brings him back to reality, though, he's a bit reluctant to let her go as she pushes him back so that she can slip to the ground.

Releasing her hold on her, he quickly buttons his shirt again and runs a hand through his hair as he eases that pleasant mask onto his features once more. Andras trails after Lani as she pauses in front of that door as if she were... nervous before she grasps that handle and opens it to reveal her parents. He gives them enough room as the mother quickly envelops Lani into a hug and its easy to decipher where the woman got her bubbly personality from. Though, Andras has to hide an amused smile at the use of 'lamb'. It was rather fitting, she was the innocent lamb and he was the predator. The mother doesn't seem to take notice of Andras immediately, though the moment the father steps into view, he meets his gaze with his own, Andras providing a dip of his head in greeting, though he can see the wariness that lingers in the man's eyes. Ruth continues to exclaim in that excited voice bringing a gentle smile to Andras's lips as his eyes dart over to Lani to see that embarrassment and exasperation so lining her features. When Lani turns back to Andras, he offers her an encouraging smile because that was nervousness in her eyes, why, the man had no idea but he hardly wanted to be the reason she was nervous.

As she introduces her parents, Andras closes the distance between the two adults, reaching out to grasp her father's hand with his own calloused fingers, firmly shaking his hand, "A pleasure to meet you, Lani has told me a lot about the two of you," he offers a warm smile, dipping his head in respect once more. When he releases Zameir's hand, he then turns to Ruth, providing her with another smile, reaching out to shake her hand, "I can see where Lani got her beautiful looks from," he grins at the woman, "A pleasure to meet you, Ruth," he states again before releasing her hand. Taking a step back towards Lani, he glances down at her and gives a small dip of his head in encouragement. "Perhaps we can all sit down and have a drink before dinner? I'd like to get to know the two of you," he suggests casually, dark eyes darting to Lani to make sure she was okay with it.
