Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
He could see the flashes of something in Amelia's eyes every time she looked at the baby but he couldn't read her thoughts. Was she feeling happy, overwhelmed, nervous, protective? He couldn't guess. He just wished she would let him in a little. Then she told him about her worries and he sighed, pulling them back gently against his chest as he nuzzled into her hair. "I'm going to protect you both. Don't worry. No one's going to touch her." He knew she would be a one in, well, never chance anywhere in the world. They would do whatever needed to be done to insure her safety. He would always put himself ahead of his child and ahead of Amelia too. He kissed her neck lovingly as she spoke to him. He could never seem to get enough of her. He saw her bit eher lip and it only made a soft groan leave his own lips in response. She knew what that did to him. He was only restraining himself because of her health and the baby she was holding. He would never do anything to risk the baby. They were his life now and he wouldn't have it any other way. When she gave him the name though, everything else went on pause, including his hormones. She wanted to name her with his last name? He didn't expect it. She turned to face him, searching his face. He didn't know what to show her but he knew he was probably smiling like an idiot. She leaned in and he tasted her lips, pressing his own back with fervor before she pulled back and caressed his cheek. She told him that she wanted the world to know whose daughter she was. He felt like a light bulb was lighting him up from the inside out. He couldn't imagine being any happier. He cradled her face and pulled her in for another kiss, his way of thanking her. His eyes were on fire with joy as he pulled back before reaching out to play with Tenley's feet gently. "You are my angel, Tenley. And you..." He reached up to caress Amelia's cheek, staring into her eyes. "You are my life. My addiction. My heaven." |
