Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
every king had a story, of ancient glory, sweetly told
It was surely an almost silly thing to so concern his thoughts with and yet the idea of Matteo having a guest was so entirely baffling the Monarch could not but help to wonder as to whom it was. The Frenchman, as a rule, simply did not have guests. The near ancient Fae was a distinctly private being in every sense. Indeed, in all the centuries he had known Matteo, first as his friend and later as his Father, he had never truly known very much about the man at all. At least not in that intimate, personal sense. Even he had not seen the man's home until a year or so ago and yet, he suspected, his own imprisonment had a very great deal to do with that. Still, he could hardly help the persistence of thought as to whom the man might favour enough to not only open his home too, but too cease his consistent wordly travels enough to keep their company for a week in turn. To coax Matteo to remain in a room long enough for even a single event was decidedly difficult! Perhaps he might query Alexander upon it later. His Godfather, he suspected, would know exactly whom his Father was hosting. Alexander the one being in all the world whom he suspected knew Matteo with that very intimacy so many others lacked. The pair were decidedly close in every sense. Dorian so readily considering too that whomever the Frenchman had sought to entertain might not necessarily be a being he liked at all. It would hardly be out of character for the man to invite someone he found objectionable only to annoy them for a week. That very idea so considered aloud as Sebastian chuckled. Dorian himself unable to prevent that simper of amusement from his lips as his lovers suggestion they might yet need pity that guest.
"So do I. You are right though, there is no reason I cannot send him a message in turn. I shall do it later this evening."
His head nodded simply in that decision. Sebastian a decidedly staunch supporter of any and all interaction he had with his Father even despite the notion that Mattoe surely made Sebastian nervous. The Monarch distinctly grateful for his lovers continued championing of that relationship all the same. Dorian content to dismiss such thoughts for now. At least until that consideration his Father may well be entertaining a woman. Had he met someone? Dorian was near quick to dismiss such thoughts entirely before they might take hold. Such ideas as that not at all the ones he sought to consider here and now as his head subtly shook as if to remove just those very thoughts. The sudden presentation of that single, larger gift box a wholly welcomed and ready distraction as he moved to gently take it from his lover. How curious he was! That very riddle from before so turning about within his thoughts as he set about unwrapping it.
That box so resting within was entirely non-descript and near plain in its presentation, save for the words printed across that top lid. That 'Love is Art' title read aloud with a clear inquisitiveness as he so glanced towards his lover once more. Sebastian's own head nodded as he offered that murmur of agreement so designed to coax the Monarch further in exploring that very gift. That bafflement still clear upon his features. That lid was gently lifted and placed to the side. Dorian eyeing that veritable plethora of art supplies inlaid within. Had Sebastian so bought him a new art kit? Such a thing was hardly an unappreciated gift in any sense and yet he had only just renewed his art supplies before the wedding, Sebastian so having been dragged around the store with him for well over an hour while he saw to it. To gift him only more of those supplies seemed a curious notion and yet....what sort of art kit so contained slippers? Perhaps it was a modern art kit of some sort? Sebastian's own form shuffled but slightly closer then, the vampires fingers brushing over those gold and blue paints as Dorian examined that curious door sign and the sponges beneath. That utter bafflement still surely clear upon his features as Sebastian inquired as to whether or not he knew what this gift was. The Fae King's head softly shaking, that insistence that he did not quite understand already upon his lips and yet those words seemed to halt in near the same instant.
That title perhaps, finally seeming to rearrange itself within his mind, right along with Sebastian's earlier conclusion that it was something they could both enjoy. Such Art supplies so designed for them both in a wholly more intimate fashion. That sudden, beaming grin seeming to spread across his features all at once as his gaze so at last lifted to that striking blue of his companions own- that blissful excitement surely clear now as he so explained how wonderful a gift it was! How excited he was to use it! Such a gift truly did encompass his favoured activities. Those very conclusions falling from his lips then. Dorian so attempting to explain the purpose of that gift in the most chaste fashion he could manage. His efforts so coaxing his lovers laughter all over again. How well he remembered that first night they had ever tried such a thing! That very night in which they had declared the depths of those feelings for one another outside that Chopin concert before returning to Sebastian's home for that...painting. One that had resulted in a certain degree of untidiness to Sebastian's office and their own hair. How far they had come since then. How readily he remembered those early days in which he had very much feared that he would be no more than a fleeting figure in Sebastian's life. Someone forgettable and unmemorable. After all, he had known readily just who and what his lover was from the very beginning. Sebastian's more promiscuous lifestyle had hardly been any more secretive than his own and yet he had feared so readily the man would simply find some other. How foolish such fears seemed now, Dorian quite unable to prevent that warm grin that adorned his lips. Another soft chuckle falling from him as Sebastian insistence he had told him such a gift truly did combine he favoured activities. His eyes rolling in that playful fashion.
"You did not so much tell me as you did afford me a terribly curious riddle you knew would utterly madden me with only more curiosity."
Such words were little more then playful, Dorian leaning forward to press his lips to Sebastian's own then in that affectionate kiss of simple thanks for that glorious gift and one he was greatly excited to use in every sense. Indeed, several ideas for that very use had already so turned within his thoughts. The Fae King nothing if not a truly creative being when the mood should strike him. Sex and art by far two of his most creative areas in turn. The very announcement of that idea so seeming to ensnare his lovers attention as it always did. Dorian so carefully moving to place that art kit to the side and beside Sebastian's own basket of easter treats. His lips returning all-too eagerly to the Princes own then. This kiss so hardly as chaste as the one before it. That very gesture so seeing the Monarch press all the closer to his husband and coax the vampire to lay back on that bed. Dorian easily capable of leaning over him then to deepen that kiss. Sebastian's hand reached easily upward to settle upon his neck, his other hand coming to rest upon his hip. Even those subtle touches, as simple and innocent as they were so readily prompting the Fae to lean all the closer. How he relished in Sebastian's touch, even in the simplest of ways!
Dorian was near reluctant to break that very kiss. Sebastian's very whine of protest very much akin to the Monarch's own thoughts upon it and yet he was quite assured that momentary pause in such activities to afford his lover the knowledge of that idea would be entirely worth it. His head settling instead upon his companions chest. Sebastian's hand lifting to toy with his brunette locks in that moment of simple contentment. Dorian so offering that very idea then of making use of that art kit outside and so surrounded by the glory of those islands during the day and within that exquisitely warm sun. He remembered well Sebastian's words from all that time ago, the vampire so holding that very fantasy of sorts of taking him outside and away from those four walls of the bedroom or house itself. Dorian so having agreed that one day he would surely let him do just that. Sebastian having been nothing short of patient in so waiting for the Monarch to be ready to embrace such intimacy without the veritable shields of privacy so normally afforded to them and one his very upbringing and culture had so enforced. Such fears, in any sense, no longer eclipsing him as they once did. Indeed the Monarch looked upon such an outdoor experience as near daring. One he looked forward to exploring and yet- why waste the very sun that island was famed for? Why not create that very piece of art in the most memorable of fashions in broad daylight? His own powers advanced enough to afford Sebastian that very gift in turn. Dorian so querying when the last time was that Sebastian had so taken another beneath the sun. The Monarch so hardly anticipating that shake off his lovers head and that simple assurance he had never had another outside in the fashion before.
"Never?"
The sheer surprise of it was surely clear. Dorian's head lifting from its comfortable position to eye the man beneath him now, both eyes widened in evident surprise. Sebastian was, by far, the most experienced lover he had ever taken. Dorian so hardly concerned in any sense by that previous lifestyle the man had held or indeed the sheer number of partners he had surely had as both human and vampire. After all, Dorian himself had hardly been any different and indeed with several centuries of age inevitably came several centuries of experience in that very area. Yet, Sebastian's existence within those more modern years had afforded his lover a depth of knowledge and chance for experience Dorian himself simply did not possess. The Fae King very near assured there was almost nothing Sebastian had surely not tried over those long years. Dorian quite assured he might never find a veritable 'first' for his companion. Such a thing as this a terribly unexpected and yet rather glorious surprise all at once. The vampires insistence that he would be the first prompting that warm simper to his lips all over again. Dorian rather....proud to have discovered such a thing. One hand so lifting then to run easily through his lovers own hair. His hand remaining upon the vampires cheek then in that wholly affectionate fashion. His words decidedly soft.
"Then I shall greatly adore to share such a first with you. It will be a first for us both. I am pleased you saved one for me to find, Mon Cher."
How terribly he looked forward to that next part of their honeymoon and so exploring that veritable first in every sense. Dorian so taking that opportunity to let his lips return to his lovers own and so pick up that kiss where it had been left off....
