Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

She didnt know sometimes what Frost saw in her but she was glad he was there to teach her. Maybe he felt sorry for her because shed gone so long without knowing what she really was. Maybe he pitied her lack of knowledge. But if he did, he never showed it. He always seemed to want to lift her up, to teach her something that would help her cope and survive in this new world she found herself in and that meant something to her. It meant close to everything. She felt his approval and it made her feel a pride shed never felt before. Just knowing she was doing something the way he pictured it was enough to make her feel invincible. She had no thoughts for the future or taking more power. To her, just having a pack was the epitome of power. With her pack behind her, anything was possible. Frost was her alpha and she respected that. Though she liked to fight as much as anyone else, it wasnt about winning power for her. It was about bragging rights.

She watched him set up the bales of hay and had to stop herself from rolling her eyes when he told her not to hit them too hard at first. She hated holding back. It made her feel like she was feeding into the idea that most underestimate her. She was stronger than anyone thought. She liked to feel that strength flowing through her. She wasnt thinking about letting him see how she moved her body so he could direct her. She only thought about how she wanted to show her worth. She hated that he felt the need to correct her, to tell her there was improvement. And yet she moved to do as he said. She felt the difference even as she hit softly a few more times. She would never admit it though.

Then she let some of her strength out and sent the bale flying as she knew it would. She grinned and crossed her arms, delighted even as he praised her. He told her shed get even better with practice and she smirked. She planned to do more than just knock someone down but she wouldn't voice it. She would just show him some day. She hardly minded practicing her fighting. Anything good for letting off steam was good by her. When he asked about weak points on a human, Henry was the one who came to mind. She used his image to pick out the points she knew would cause the most damage. He told her about the nose and how not to make the ribs her first shot unless there was an opportunity. She nodded. In the end, he offered praise again. She felt like she was practically glowing with it.

He pointed out some more weak points on the legs and the stomach before pointing to where she was sure he should have the same organ as Henry. And he said the keyword was men. She raised a brow. She didnt ever really think of it being hurt. Shed only been learning how to make it feel good. This was new to her. She thought of her own area there and how different it was. She scrunched up her face in thought. "So.....you grab it? Cause I know it tends to stick up." She smirked.

Next he came to stand beside her, telling her that kicking was less accurate but stronger attacks. Her eyes lit up. She liked the sound of that. He walked her through it then told her to practice on the bottom bale. She nibbled on her bottom lip as she looked at it, concentrating on her body's position as she brought her leg up. It felt awkward, holding her leg out. She felt unbalanced. Being on two legs took practice but one leg? She felt vulnerable. She tried it a few times but it felt all unbalanced and wrong. Her brows furrowed in frustration. It was obvious this move would take a lot more practice than the punching. She only grew more frustrated as she moved, her mind made up of nothing in those moments but taking her mounting frustration out on the hay bales. But she felt like she wouldn't even be able to hit it, let alone put strength behind it. When she did manage to hit the bale, her kicks were awkward and weak, way weaker than she intended. This blows, she thought to herself.

She could feel his steady gaze as he walked around and she was sure she wasnt getting praise for this go-around. His sudden words threw her off and she almost face planted in the middle of another awkward weak kick. Bracing herself on the hay bale to steady herself, she turned to Frost but he told her to keep practicing so she inhaled sharply and pushed back, rolling her shoulders before starting again. "Um, Henry. He's in Tetradores pack. He was the one who found me the first time i shifted." She tried not to think back to that time of drama and vulnerability. She had never been so scared. She breathed through it and aimed another more vicious kick to the hay bales. "He's a good friend. I'm not his girlfriend or anything if thats what you're asking. He's in love with someone else. I....spend the nights wandering. It's still hard for me to sleep at night." None of it was lies. She went to him some nights, whether for dinner or the two times they'd had sex now, but it wasnt an every night thing. Most of the time she was wandering in the woods or even wandering the streets. Being a nocturnal creature was in her DNA. She hadn't lost that just because she was half human. She should have known Frost would get curious of where she spent her time. She knew he didnt mean anything ill willed by it, he was just concerned about his pack mate.
