Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Here to save the day

His day was pretty laid back so far. He'd woken up in the bed he shared with Amelia, rolling over to nuzzle her neck and nip at her skin playfully before planting an affectionate kiss on her cheek before he sat up and stretched. The covers were almost too comfortable. He didn't want to get up yet but he knew the day needed to start some time. Not everyone could sleep all day and stay out all night like his fiancé and baby daughter. Perks of being a vampire, or curse. Whichever way you choose to look at it. The sunlight streamed into the bedroom through the little window by the bed, though it only fell in one tiny slit across the floor, as if not daring to reach as far as the comfort of the covers. Amelia had designed the house flawlessly for her species, enough to still feel homey but also to keep her alive since she couldn't be in the sun. Troy had wondered about gifting her a potion some time for day walking, if only for a little while. He wondered if she missed it sometimes. He'd have to bring that up in conversation some time.

Finally he moved the covers aside and straightened up, stretching some more with a loud sigh of contentment. He felt like the old fat dog that just laid on the porch all day. He looked around the room, a whimsical smile on his face. He couldn't remember ever feeling this satisfied with his life. Everything just felt so perfect. Amelia was sleeping soundly in the bed. So was Tenley, just down the hall. Her very image exploded in his mind and he followed suit, making his way softly down the hall and into her bedroom. She sept soundly in her bassinet. Smiling sweetly down at her, he leaned in to place a soft kiss on her forehead. She made a sound of agreement before she rolled over and went back to sleep. Such a perfect child. And to think she was his. Sighing, he made his way down to the kitchen, where the rest of the staff was just starting up on their cleaning duties. Most of them liked to clean during the day so Amelia could move around the house unhampered at night. They waved and smiled as Troy made his way into the kitchen, heading right for the fridge. He scratched absently at the pajama pants he wore as he walked, yawning as he smiled back and nodded his head in greeting. He was never much of a morning person. Some of the younger female staff averted their gaze from his uncovered torso as if Amelia would drain them for so much as looking but Troy never thought twice about it. He'd gotten used to the house staff a while ago so most of the time he moved around as if there were no one else in the house.

He reached into the fridge, grabbing out some eggs, bacon, butter, and all the rest of the essentials for breakfast then started cooking. It didn't take long to stir everything together and make it into the perfect omelette. Then he scooted it all onto a plate and sat at the table to eat. It was nearly as good as it smelled. He was still chewing when he put the plate away and made his way back upstairs to the bedroom, figuring he might as well get dressed. Amelia had rolled onto his side of the bed, hair cascading all around her. She looked every bit like an angel. Troy smiled. It was all too tempting to crawl back into bed with her and sleep the day away, but he needed to get some stuff done today. He had a meeting scheduled with the Council around noon to go over some possible hunts so he needed to get moving. He reluctantly pulled on some jeans and threw a Led Zeppelin shirt over his head, pulling the fabric up to his nose to make sure it smelled clean. It was still a habit after moving in with Amelia. He didn't have a routine for doing laundry but Amelia's staff was always on top of it so of course the shirt smelled like lavender. It just made him really want to just crawl back into bed with her. Instead he gave her and Tenley one last kiss before heading to the door. He waved over his shoulder to the staff as he shut the door behind him, knowing they'd let Amelia know when she woke up where he went but he expected to be back before then anyway. He fished his car keys out of his pocket as he walked around to the garage and that's when he felt something. It was supernatural, the way the hairs on his arms stood at attention. He glanced up, and saw a distant figure in the clouds. He could just make out a large set of wings and as he furrowed his brow and squinted, he recognized the figure. "Andras?" He muttered in question. What was his heirarchy leader doing? It was dangerous to fly in the middle of the day. Good thing it was cloudy today. But he couldn't just let it go. It had to be important if Andras was willing to risk his identity.

He didn't hesitate to put the car keys back in his pocket and step toward the center of the yard so he'd have more room. "Sorry, baby. We'll ride another time." He murmured lovingly to the garage and the beloved car within before he spread his own wings and took to the sky. It didn't take him long to catch up and when he was behind the other figure, he called out. "Hey, Andras, who's in danger?"
