Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

"Oh, uh, I gave it up a while back, but I have another one I'm going to start, I think. Maybe you can help with that one instead, yeah?" He suggested though he wasn't expecting to actually accept it. It was just something to say to fill any silence, no real thought given to his words. He was intending on starting a new project, probably one that would end up driving him insane by the end of it. Then again, deciding on what it would be should probably be the first step in all of that. Still, he liked the sudden burst of enthusiasm she showed.

"They're very loud and eventful, yeah," Blake agreed with a smile, thoughts drifting toward his own family for a moment. He should probably give his mother a call, it had been a while since he really talked to her besides the typical short answers and conversations where things were said but no communication actually occurred. He laughed as she described how her family handled dishes, something that sounded not too shabby really. It probably made clean up super easy. He noticed she had corrected herself, something that seemed quite foreboding. Apparently not foreboding enough, however, to prevent him from shoveling his foot down his throat. As Claire continued speaking, it was becoming quite clear that she did not expect to see her family again. Perhaps they were the worst case scenario- dead. Still, as she described her siblings, he couldn't help but smile slightly at some of the surface similarities.

"Yes, all five of them older brothers. There's James, Jaidon, Jorden, Jason, Jared, and then me. Unfortunately, my oldest brother was killed in a boating accident when I was a lot younger, but from what I remember, he gave me as much shit as any of them." He took her dangling bait, indulging his family life with the stranger. "I don't know how my poor mother kept her sanity raising all of us. I mean, my father was around, but he was always working or thinking about work. She was the one trying to maintain some resemblance of order when all we wanted to do was cause chaos. Except maybe Jason, he was the bookworm of the family."

Blake nudged his plate to the side, leaning forward on his elbows, scotch glass in hand. His gaze had dropped to the glass as he mused over his family before tipping some of the amber liquid back. "I remember this time my parents bought a new water heater because ours had died. Well, you know that big box they come in? Well, my brother Jared was apparently holding a grudge because I had ruined one of his books- mind you, I was like 3 so it's not like I did it on purpose. So anyway, there's this huge box in our front yard while the parents work on the installation while Jorden and Jason were hanging in the front yard then I come toddling out of the house. So Jason, still being sore about the loss of his shit, doesn't want to deal with me so he goes and gets this idea. Before I know it, Jason's gone and coaxed me into the box with some story or something, then the fucker stands it up. Now I'm stuck in the box!" He laughs, shaking his head.
