Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
The sight that met the panther's eyes was by far the furthest from the one she had expected to come upon. Her dear Scarlett had never been a fighter or one to harm another being. Nadya had expected to come about Scarlett defending herself, yes, but not to her being the victor. Certainly not to being so consumed by the adrenaline and power that came with it to turn on her packmate either. The panther's hesitant step forward calling to Scarlett being met with a flurry of snarls caused that brief flash back to the wolves attacking her pack as a teenager. How Scarlett had managed to chase those trepidations towards her species away and how in that brief moment it flared back to life as those burning eyes of her packmate looked back at her.
The glow and very fire of the wolf seemed to ebb from her leaving her beloved packmate back in her place. That bond that they created ensuring Nadya was quick to shake herself into action to bring her form beside the wolf and help ease her gently to the ground. Scarlett's haggard explanation cause ice to run through Nadya's veins, those amber eyes cast to the fallen hunters before focusing back on Scarlett. "Everything's going to be ok. You did what you had to." Nadya spoke softly in reassurance as her nose rummaged through the wolf's thick fur to find the source of the wound as there was so much blood covering her it was hard to tell which was the hunter's and which was the wolfs'. "Frost is coming, just a little longer." Nadya felt that strength in the bond telling her that her mate drew near. All she had to do was keep Scarlett awake.
The towering figure of her stallion burst forward into the clearing with only a few large strides giving way to the man. Nadya shifted back slightly from Scarlett so Frost could investigate as well. Skepticism crossed her features at Frost's words that he could get the bullet out. Surely they should go to a hospital. It was her Alpha's words though and she obeyed, turning in place and running for all she was worth in the direction of home. She would reach the house quite a way ahead of them with Frost carrying Scarlett in human form.
Nadya shifted back into her human form the moment she entered their backyard. She barreled through the backdoor, throwing on one of the house robes they kept hanging at the entrance, before she took off first upstairs. Nadya hastily locked their door and switched on the monitor to their room so if they did wake she could calm them through it. There was no way she was risking the twins waking up and seeing this. Back downstairs, Nadya shoved aside the coffee table to clear space on the floor for Frost to lay Scarlett then moved into the bathroom to gather things. Piles of towels were tossed onto the floor along with the first aid bag which Nadya was pretty sure only had a pair of splinter tweezers that she was unsure would be of any help. She was still unsure what Frost's plan was. Nadya was just carrying in a large mixing bowl of warm water from the kitchen when Frost came through the back door and she felt that dull of bond from Scarlett. "She's out." Worry and fear was clear in her tone as she looked expectantly at her alpha and mate for what to do.
