Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

all this devotion was rushing over me, and the crashes are heaven, for a sinner like me, but the arms of the ocean deliver me.

The presence of the red headed vampire would have never bothered to elicit a distrustful or distasteful response, at least from me. Where I might have been inclined to expect differently from the more... definitively eccentric and opinionated one of my brothers, I felt a distinct warmth emanating from my heart at the sincerity that the woman's voice possessed. Why should I judge the woman based upon her species, when it was neither clear to me she chose this path, nor that she embodied a stereotype that seemed to negatively impact her species? Perhaps it wasn't a choice but a forcibly induced change, and for that the woman would have had my undying sympathy and appreciation. No one should ever be removed of choice; never. Regardless of the circumstance, my belief on the matter stood firmly rooted in a ground that no storm could weather. Had it been one of my assailants that was removed of choice, I would barter that their opinion and choice be reinstated... Not a single soul should have no say in their fate.

With that in mind did I drop unceremoniously on the couch that we had maneuvered into my apartment, relishing in the way the cushions seemed to swallow me in a welcoming manner. Comfortably did I find myself marveling at the expressions that seemed to wriggle unbidden across the woman's features, the tell-tale glint of appreciation for my decorating tastes bringing a stronger smile to my lips. Compliments had been so uncomfortable for me to accept before I had mastered the language, rendering me far more capable now to accept kind words than I had been when we had first stepped foot onto the American soil. "You are too sweet! I have to suffer from my brother's tastes some as he owns the apartment, but I intend to slip in feminine touch where I can." My words were offered with a bit of wry amusement, expecting a chiding from said brother at a later date when he dared set foot back into the apartment he had so graciously procured for my abode. With the vampire's kind words still lingering in my ears, I gestured for her to have a seat on the couch with me as it was simply too comfortable to keep to myself.

"It is a pleasure to meet you Isolt! I was getting concerned that my brother had found an apartment complex with mundane people to keep me out of trouble, but you seem far from mundane," I said, appreciative notes decorating my voice. It is only at the curiosity that laces Isolt's voice that my smile falters only in the briefest of moments, my hesitation quickly being replaced by a thoughtful expression. It had been long difficult for me to explain my heritage, especially as my accent had been marled over the years spent in Georgia. "Some seem to find my accent abrasive, though it is far more gentle than when I moved here, I'm South African, but my family is from Zimbabwe." My words, a gentle explanation of my past, are softened with yet another kind compliment from the red headed woman. "Why thank you! My brother, Davante, has a much stronger accent but I am incredibly envious of how professional he is when he can mask it. Otherwise, we sound a little savage." I offer the last words with a wry, impish grin, alluding to the more mischeivious side of my character.
