Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

She knew Nadya had been kind of sad ever since Frost left so she was hoping the house party would cheer up her friend too. It seemed like something big might have happened but she wasn't privy to that information so Malia left it alone, figuring Nadya or Frost would tell her if they felt she should know. Instead she would do all she could to cheer up Nadya and go from there. She knew Nadya wasn't up for the idea at first and she didn't expect her to be. That's why she had all the reasonings and explanations already set up in her mind and she'd been repeating them to herself in her bedroom all morning. Plus she'd already made the flyers and had plans about handing them out and putting them up so Nadya wouldn't have to do any of the work....except for the cooking, of course. And the co-hosting. But Malia assured her that she would take care of everything else. Mostly.

She was happy she had Nadya's help. The party wouldn't look half as good as it did if it wasn't for her pack mate and friend. She watched as the WerePanther adjusted the volume of the music, at first thinking she might find it offensive but she saw that Nadya was just making it low enough for people to actually talk to each other. That was really the reason for this party after all, right? She grinned in excitement, though her stomach was otherwise balled up in a bundle of nerves. As if Nadya could sense her doubts (she could probably smell it), she moved to Malia's side to tell her no one comes out till after dark and Malia swallowed back her fear before nodding and pasting on a smile. "Yeah you're right. I'm sure they'll show up any minute after dark."

Nadya then asked if she wanted to help her set out the drinks and after one more forlorn look at the door, Malia nodded and followed her to help. She knew Nadya was just trying to distract her but for now, she would go along with it and hope she'd have plenty of distractions soon enough. It wasn't long before others started trickling in though, slowly at first then gaining speed after dark, just as Nadya said they would. Malia did her best to move around and chat, though she kept her eyes peeled for certain individuals to see if they would show. A strange smelling vampire was one of the first to approach, though collide might be a better description. Malia was distractedly eying someone who seemed to be testing out a new power of transformation in the middle of the living room when her shoulder hit something hard.

She stopped in her tracks with a grunt, rubbing her shoulder as she turned to glare at someone, her lip already pre-curled, but when she heard the guy start talking and mention Abigail, she was quick to soften her expression, brightness returning to her eyes as she grinned. "Yeah, it's my party. I'm Malia. Yay, I can't wait to see Abigail again. She's so fun!" When he asked for something with more kick, she smirked, her brow lifting as she gestured her head toward the kitchen. "Sure do. Right this way." She knew where the hard liquor was kept, much to Frost's chagrin. She could always offer him that poison Frost had her drink in the study, but she had that room closed off the party. See? She could be responsible. Kind of. Taking in another whiff of his scent as they made their way into the kitchen, she wrinkled her nose and turned back to him, unable to help herself.

"So, what are you exactly? You kind of smell like a vampire...and yet not, at the same time." Curiosity glimmered in her gaze as she turned to open the secret cabinet over the fridge and reach in blindly. "Now let's see what we can get." She concentrated as her hand rummaged around, bouncing off glass bottles and that's when a small pair of arms suddenly wrapped around Arlo's waist and she heard the familiar voice. She grinned again as she pulled out a couple bottles. "Abigail! So glad you made it." She held out the bottles to Arlo. "Will these do?" It's not like she could read what they were. She was waiting for his reaction when she caught a whiff of another familiar scent, this one giving her heart a jump-start in her chest as her breath caught for a second.

Her gaze swept over the guests present automatically as she temporarily forgot about the two people in front of her, not stopping until they set on the dark brunette hair she was looking for. She held up her hand to catch his attention as she gave a dazzling smile. "Ashton, over here!" Hopefully he could hear her.
