Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
abigail
The bright hazel of Abigail's gaze turned quickly towards the opening door of the home, only to eye the woman who walked in with a blank, almost cautious stare. She was absolutely positively certain she had never met her before. Was she a part of Frost's pack too? Or maybe she just walked in like a very very very friendly solicitor? Kind of like those people who had come into Abigail's home to talk to her about that super nifty book they brought. They had been super keen to tell Abby all about the book - like it was some super over eager book club! Maybe she had a book club too! Her gaze turned towards her new Alpha (she was still getting used to that term...alllpphhhaaa), but he definitely seemed to recognize the newcomer, calling her by name. So...not a book club then? In fact, Frost seemed almost....frosty towards the girl, more so than normal. Which was really kind of impressive since the man tended to have a verryyyyyyy quiet demeanor in the first place. The last thing Abigail had expected, however, was to be given the task of hosting the stranger whilst Frost dealt with Malia and her bug. A glance of alarm crossed her features as she turned her attention towards her Alpha, watching as he disappeared up the steps without another uttered word.
Abigail leaned closer towards her polar bear bestie as she eyed the woman in front of her. Something about Frost's cold demeanor towards her had set the little panda bear on edge. After all, if she was a friend, surely Frost would have been more...happy to see her. Right? Right. At the very least, she had her bestie best to keep her safe from the scary woman. Abby was almost hesitant, however, as she offered the newcomer one of her treasured horde of carrots. Okay, so maybe it wasn't exactly her carrots. They were Frost's carrots and he had said she should share them so she supposed she should. Her gaze turned upward, briefly, towards the man beside her, as if verifying silently with Oliver that she was doing exactly what she was supposed to do as the unexpected welcome party. A small, rare simper seemed to blossom over his features, that warm hint of encouragement was all that was necessary to reignite her enthusiasm, albeit it on a lesser scale then before. Abigail, however, was hardly the only one who seemed...hesitant. The stranger herself seemed equally as unsure as she reached up to tuck her hair behind her ear. That offer for Abigail's favorite vegetable in the whole wide world was one the woman accepted, only to introduce herself as Edie. Edie the ex-pack member. How did one even become an ex pack member? Why would anyone leave and then come back? Oliver had said you only left when your Alpha was bad but Frost didn't seem bad and apparently he wasn't bad enough for Edie to not come back! Oh, how many questions she had! But...first..carrots.
The panda almost bounded into the kitchen as she led the way to the counter and the plethora of vegetables that Frost had laid out of her. The young woman selected what she deemed to be a satisfactory carrot to share before offering it to her companion, entirely oblivious to Frost emerging downstairs or Malia hesitating on the platform at the edge of the staircase. She watched with large hazel eyes as Edith eyed the carrot within Abigail's hand, only to inquire after the unique coloring of them. "Oh! Um....not really. They were made orange. They're originally...this color!" She plucked from the bench a white carrot, only to hand it to her newfound companion. Her attention upon the carrots, however, was short lived as Frost once again entered the kitchen. She perked up once again at the very presence of her Alpha. Abigail stepped back, only to wiggle herself up onto the kitchen barstool that had originally been her perch whilst she had poured over the platter of fresh vegetables. That gleeful simper upon her features only seemed to return with a vengeance as Malia stepped into the room - right in time for everyone to finally be properly introduced. Ah! How the very sight of Malia made her wiggle in her seat! After all, she was determined to ensure Malia met Oliver, and vice versa. After all, how awesome was it to have ALL her friends in one place!
