Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Despite the exhaustion that coated her body like a second skin, she can't help the blush that rises to easily to her cheeks. Her embarrassment all too clear after she's done speaking about her job and her various research projects. Quickly, she ducks her head, staring at the coffee mug her delicate fingers are wrapped around, even as Roman's deep baritones cause her to glance up through dark lashes. She blinks, surprise filtering across her features. She might have found it strange, such wisdom coming from someone and yet, it seemed fitting from him. Miya hardly knows what to say in that moment, ducking her head once more as she gives a bob of her head in confirmation. There's only a beat of silence before she's drawn back into conversation, her embarrassment entirely forgotten for the moment as she inquires about Africa, eyes lighting with excitement. She's quickly asking about the animals and Roman seems to entertain her with his answers.

Miya frowns in sadness when he admits there were not as many as there once was, "That's heartbreaking," she murmurs, her fingers adjusting around her mug, "I think I would love to visit one day and see all the animals," she admits before tacking on, "from the safety of a vehicle though." Sure, she had always loved animals, visiting the wildlife rehabilitation centers growing up, though, she had never seen anything larger than a linx but she had seen dolphins as a child, which, she had screamed in delight when her mother managed to get her into the observation deck while they were working with the wounded creature. However, she was always safely away from wild animals, never touching and always knowing she was never in any danger, despite her willingness to travel, she didn't think she could sleep outside in a place like Africa where she could be eaten by any number of wild animals. The very thought has her shuddering.

Pushing said thought away, their conversation drifts to his family, Miya blinking in surprise at the sheer size. She says as much. When Roman responds, a gentle smile lingers on her lips as she glances at the man as he seems to reminisce in his memories, "That's really nice," she says, head tilting, "I'm guessing they didn't travel with you to Sacrosanct? Unless you just wanted space from them which is completely fine too," she laughs quietly, hardly pressing for details, she was just merely curious. It's her turn to switch the conversation to work, Miya telling him it would be easy for his set of skills to get a job. When she admits she could hire him, Roman is immediately offering his help, the petite Asian woman glancing at him in surprise, "I wouldn't ask you to do something for me unless there was some sort of compensation involved," she says, her cheeks flushing after a moment realizing just how that sort of sentence could be taken, "I mean, I will pay you or feed you," she clarifies, stumbling over her words before taking a deep breath to calm herself.

She's thankful he has his own set of questions, her pink cheeks slowly returning to normal. "No restrictions, maybe except my bedroom," she muses, "You can use anything you want in the apartment and I can't say that I really have any rules, maybe no parties?" She chews on her lower lip, again realizing she should have thought this through before inviting him over. "There's only the one bathroom so we can share it, the laundry is also in the bathroom as well," she explains, gesturing to the door situated between the two bedroom doors. "You can actually access the bathroom from each bedroom, there's doors on either side, maybe we should just lock those and use the regular door so we don't walk in on each other?" She says again hesitantly, with Arlo, she never needed to worry, between him being a vampire and his superior hearing, much to her distaste, it never was an issue. When he asks about price, she tries to keep her features as straight as possible, she didn't need the money, didn't need help to pay her rent, not with her new position but she wanted to help someone in need, "$175 all utilities included, there's plenty of room in the refrigerator and I do have a couple of sparse cabinets in the kitchen if you have equipment or anything like that you want to bring in," she explains and pauses for a beat.

"I think you would be a good fit, Roman," she says, stumbling over his name again, her cheeks taking on the slightest pink tinge, before she pushes herself to a standing position. "If you think you can do with living with me," she adds on as an after thought before strolling towards the kitchen exit, "Do you want to see the rest of the apartment? There's not a whole lot but I can show you the room and the bathroom."
