Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Nadya easily followed Ashton to the checkout as she questioned for that Malia girl to come over at some point. Someone had to know what happened to her. Despite Ashton's wave of dismissal to Nadya's adamant promises to repay him, she was determined to do so in the end. Even as Ashton spoke she knew it was true. Her lips pressed into a line as she watched those items drift across that conveyer belt. Ashton had a point, as much as she would like to deny it, that her mind was simply protecting itself. "I just...I hate not remembering." The woman exhaled slowly, "Things happened that I don't remember. People know me that I have no recollection of meeting. My own brother hates me and I can't even remember why." A deep frown marred her features as she stared with unshed tears at those items being bagged.
"What does that mean then?" Nadya finally asked once they were out of the store and on the way to his apartment. "How do I repair something if I don't know what I did? If experiences make a person who they are and I don't remember those experiences...does that even mean that I'm...me anymore?" How much this predicament weighed on her. Ashton was the first person she was talking to and expressing those thoughts that had plagued her the last few days living on her own. There was simply something about Ashton that made her feel comfortable and safe in letting those feelings out without feeling judged about them. Nadya simply wasn't a nervous or anxious person and these things had her wringing her fingers at her side and her gaze unable to meet his, finding more comfort in watching her feet as they walked. How broken she truly felt in that moment. "I miss him- I miss my brother and I don't know what to do." Her voice was barely a whisper as she made that confession.
