It was impossible for the Dark Hunter's thoughts not to drift when Carolina's offer to do anything in exchange for his sweet treat was accompanied by a suggestive wink. Surely, she wasn't proposing something as...intimate as her suggestion might have seemed...right? His tongue skirted across his bottom lip, the artist clearly caught off guard as he strove to put those more...scandalous thoughts aside. It was best to simply..not acknowledge her sheer willingness when pumpkin bread was on the line, the man instead simply offering her the small sleeve as he struggled to find an appropriate response. He watched as she seemed to eye the slice of bread before reaching out to break off a small piece. She popped the piece within her mouth, savoring the delectable treat with an audible sound of satisfaction. That sounded...promising. It was unlikely, after all, for Carolina to make that sound if the pastry had turned out terrible. A small smile crossed his lips at the young woman's hope her cupcake was nearly as good - her own drink placed on the counter mere moments later with the sweet treat beside it.
Alistair waited for her to collect her things before the pair moved towards one of the tables near the front of the cafe, the sunlight outside streaming through the room to create a cozy ambiance. The artist leaned back in his chair as he further unwrapped the piece of bread from the paper sleeve it had been served in. He had only just bitten into it when Carolina gestured towards her unwrapped cupcake, offering him a piece of the sweet treat. It was...kind of her, even if it was extended simply out of polite necessity, still, Alistair brushed the suggestion away with a small shake of his head, the man swallowing his bite of pumpkin bread before admitting, "I don't really like chocolate cake." He reached for his coffee, altogether prepared for the look of disbelief that so often fluttered across the features of those he informed of his distaste for the baked good. A small glimpse of surprise crossed his face at the very taste of the beverage he ordered, the man glancing down at it almost critically. This coffee was...far better than Alistair had been expecting. He had anticipated merely an over priced, watered down beverage that merely accompanied the feline experience but this...this was actually good.
The very thought was one Carolina was inclined to mirror as she laughed easily at her own impending misfortune, the female savoring each bite of her purchased cupcake. "Well, at least I'll always know where to find you." He responded with little thought given to how his very comment suggested, perhaps, seeing her again. It was her effort to get to know him, however, that caused Alistair to pause, his emerald irises turning up towards her in bewilderment. "Umm...." His gaze drifted from her fair features, his brows furrowing as he eyed the world beyond the cafe, his brain scrambling to come up with...something. What didn't she know about him that he was comfortable sharing with a stranger? She knew of his job, his schooling, his sibling... "I...have a tattoo?" It was not exactly the most riveting piece of information but one distinctly few knew of. Perhaps it would suffice. Regardless, Alistair hardly gave Carolina any time to demand more from him, the Hunter quickly turning the question back upon her. "It's your turn now."
