Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
I know some things should just stay broken
i'm well aware this should remain unspoken
Serafina was hardly concerned in the slightest on the welfare of her patient. Her confidence within herself and her skills was entirely unshakeable. Whilst Henry remained breathlessly sitting at his companion's side, Serafina busied herself with cleaning up the aftermath of her unexpected potion brewing. Her bottles of herbs and liquids were returned to their proper places on her shelves. She glanced briefly at the watch upon her wrist. Any moment now...and quiet on cue the once silent fellow began to stir. The first deep breath brought a glimpse of a grin to her features, though with her back turned to them, they were unlikely to see that smug satisfaction. It had been an easy enough potion and with a desperate and gullible mark, Serafina had earned herself quite the pretty penny to go with it. How utterly delightful of a night. Maybe she'd buy herself a pair of shoes as a reward.
Behind her, Sterling found himself struggling to sit upright. The world was a dizzying blur of colors that didn't quite match the apartment flat he anticipated. Vaguely, he was aware of Henry's voice softly echoing within his ear, though his brain struggled to focus upon the man's words. His brows furrowed as he blinked, his bright blue eyes simply taking in the peculiar room that surrounded him and the poignant scent of the herbs that were so easily identifiable by the chef. It was several seconds later that the soft chirp of his familiar caused his head to shift abruptly, the movement made the world spin again as he swayed dangerously within his-ex's embrace. Slowly, Sterling reached for the weakened bird, pulling her gingerly into his arms. How fragile the usually feisty avian felt! Her vulnerability easily expanded into his own emotions as he tenderly stroked her feathers.
His gaze turned upward towards Henry - his ex was the only one he trusted when he was surrounded by such an unfamiliar place with an equally as unfamiliar (and unfriendly) face. His query prompted an almost gentle touch from the man as Henry brushed those stray ebony locks from his fair features, only to recount the very closeness that he had come to crossing to the other side. Sluggishly, his gaze followed his lover's own towards the woman standing on the other side of the counter, her arms crossed over her chest. His own voice was a soft utterance as Sterling uttered his own word of mumbled appreciation. Henry's voice brought a firm nod from the witch as Serafina gestured towards the door with a small flick of her wrist. "Yes, I am closed, after all." She responded with an entirely too sweet smile - one that suggested they leave immediately. "Blessed be, and all that." Serafina offered with a saccharine feminine voice, eager to push them out of her little sanctuary.
