Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

little variations on my page

little souvenirs and secrets shared, little off-guard and unprepared
Sisenna
Hardly a moment passes after my knuckles rap upon the paint-peeled door before it is pried open a crack; a dark brown eye peeks out before a man's voice inquires whether I am here on behalf of Pottery Barn, of all places. I cannot suppress the devious smirk entirely, but I may have been quick enough to hide it behind a more serious façade before he notices. "Hello sir, did you know the furniture apocalypse is nigh? Believe in our Lord and savior Pottery Barn, and your home décor will achieve salvation" I pitch to the best of my ability, straining not to laugh. Alas, he already evaluated that I am not, in fact, part of the Pottery Barn machine and has therefore opted to open the door more fully. I decide to get to the point before he thinks to slam it in my face. It can't be long until the idea pops into his mind to wait for the looney girl to leave before commencing with his garbage disposal, and I would rather get introductions done before my neighborly relations are wholly sabotaged. "My name is Sisenna, Sisenna Abandonato. I just moved in next door, thought I'd get to know some of the people in the area since I'm new in town."

I lean to the side to glimpse the aforementioned bags of garbage, "You know, if you want to take care of that now I can walk and talk. I promise I won't judge you too harshly." I toss him a playful wink, more out of habit than to flirt â€" not that it sounds like a half-bad notion, now that I think about it. I can't entertain the thought for long; pale blue-green eyes look up at me from my memories and I feel my heart wrench from the unexpected reminiscence. I try to smile to hide the sudden influx of emotion, though I fear it may have come through more like a grimace.
