Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

kissing death and loosing my breath
The young witch could hear the scraping of the base of the chair against her hard wood floors, just as she too heard the soft thud as the woman settled in a disgruntled fashion at the table somewhere behind her. Serafina hardly bothered to cast the were-creature a single glance, instead focusing the entirety of her attention upon the potion that bubbled and brewed upon her stove. She filled the cup she had retrieved from the were-creature only to turn and place it upon the countertop in front of the woman. Serafina stood in front of her, her arms folded over her chest as she watched Raven's gaze narrow ever so slightly at the sight of her next potion. Her own gaze had glanced down at the purple hued liquid, entirely uncaring of its vile smell or horrendous taste. After all, she had subjected herself to her own fair share of foul tasting concoctions all for the sake of freedom from her familiar. Serafina glanced upwards at the woman's gaze, holding it with the same frigidness she had presented her with the entire time thus far. A small sense of satisfaction crossed her features as the female withheld any remarks she might have had beyond the single inquiry as to what the intention of the beverages were to begin with.

She was hardly surprised when the woman paused in her tasting of the beverage as the truth left Serafina's lips. She had expected perhaps some fashion of retaliation but the caution fashion at which Raven explained how she had done a good job was enough to cause a snort to leave Serafina's nose. "No, Raven. What you've done is forced me down whatever route you think my life should follow regardless of how I feel about it. You're no different then my mentor. You throw me around just as much as he does anyways. If that's what being a familiar is - then I don't want one." There was an audible tone of anger to her usually careful voice, the woman pivoting upon her feet to busy herself with something - anything. She needed a moment to collect her thoughts, to still her emotions. Serafina allowed the silence to exist between the pair of them, her fury still radiating from her form. It took her a moment to be able to calm herself enough to continue her careful consideration of what she had anticipated.

"A good familiar is supposed to do more than just protect. You're supposed to help, to guide, to be there for me. Just because you view something as a danger to me doesn't mean that it is. You're so close minded, Raven. Somehow it's so beyond you that Azrael might actually care for me but the only thing you can see is his species and you'd do whatever to keep us apart - even if I might care for him back. That's not a familiar. That's not even a good friend. I'd rather have a familiar that actually cared about my thoughts, that was willing to be here to help me - I mean did you even know that I have a new power? Did you?" Her locks shook ever so slightly as she shook her head, her icicle gaze entirely accusatory as she stared at the were-wolf in front of her.
