Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
The instant she gets up, I know. I've left the shower stall door open just a crack, just enough for my extra keen ears to pick up on the sudden rustle in my bed. I smirk as I finish the initial rinse before grabbing for the shampoo. I am patient, waiting to see what she does. She could stay in bed until I get out. She could run for it. She could steal everything I own first. Or we could continue where we left off. I wouldn't mind a rerun one bit. I know she's a Were and it seems odd to think that half the time, she's an animal, not a person. Does that make me a beastophile? I chuckle under my breath. I guess I don't care much if it does. I keep going with my routine, listening as she moves around in the bed some more before I hear the tale tell sound of nails hitting the floor. Now I know from a glance or two in the cemetary that her toe nails aren't that long so that leads me to believe that I no longer have a human guest in my house. I guess I might get to see just what kind of animal I'm dealing with, after all. I glance toward the door absently but so far, no dice. I hear the clicking as she walks through the bedroom though and I can tell she's getting closer. I turn my back to the door on purpose and start lathering up, ever alert to the sound of her nails now clicking over the bathroom floor. I smell wet dog and grin, knowing she must be in the shower. I'm already turning around when she nips at my heels with a bark and my eyes gleam as she yips, a less than happy sound as the water rains down on her. I look down at a gray fox. I'm not sure what I was expecting, blinking a few times. It's a fox, right? That's certainly what it looks like to me. I'm sorry, I should be saying she. What she looks like. She blinks back up at me before losing her balance on the slippery shower stall floor. I resist the urge to laugh, instead leaning down to wrap an arm underneath her to support her before I lift up. I can hear her growling at the water. "Cute. So...rabies shot or the best shower sex of your life?" I give her a playful smirk, eyes darkening as I wait to hear her response. I just hope I can understand it. Not that I don't dig the fox. I just like my partner to be a little less....hairy. |
