Sacrosanct contains four distinct neighborhoods, each with their own specific kind of houses and residents. Explore our districts, view lists of our citizens and enjoy our block parties!
Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
I was probably not the best person for someone with a nervous disposition to be around, but such is life. The fact I managed to make him laugh a little was very gratifying. "Naw, don't worry about it. I'm sure there are some legit bad Witches. My mom was a proper Bitch Witch, but I tend to be more annoying than evil." I smirk a little at the thought of evil Witches like in the movies, I always wondered where people got that idea from. His response to my own questions were full of confusion, and I had to remind myself this poor guy hadn't been around his kind, and obviously knew less than even I did. "Honestly, I've never met a Fae, but I've heard they have wings. As for pixie dust, that was a joke, but I think they should totally have it."
With that I turned and disappeared into the bathroom a moment, exiting with a less gross face, though my nose was somewhat swollen, the bleeding had stopped and I was able to remove the tissue. I return to the kitchen, which isn't far; the apartment is rather small. The sound of the fridge opening and dishes being clanked could be heard from the living room as I start making sandwiches. I can hear his question about my blood, and I chuckle softly. "Well, Witches have silver blood. My theory is we've got Unicorn blood somehow, but who knows." Days like this I wish we had a real Hogwarts, cause I could really use it.
Within just a few minutes, I returned with two plates, each had a sandwich filled with cheese, meat, and lettuce. A sweet pickle slice sat on the side of each sandwich. I really liked sweet pickles. Handing him a plate, I sat down on the opposite side of the couch and folded my legs underneath me comfortably. "So, you've really never met other Fae? I'm sorry dude, that really sucks. There's a shit ton of magic thingies here in Sacrosanct, so I'm sure you'll run into them now." I smiled reassuringly and took a bite of my sandwich.
