Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Kato Buhari
The moment Edie had him seated on the couch Kato fell back into his Switzerland role. His piece was said, his concern made clear only over Edie's safety. His loyalty, the reason he hung around, was for her alone. He would trade Frost for a candy bar. Kato was honestly surprised at the tone of voice that Edie took with Frost however, demanding that her Alpha not threaten him. It hardly mattered if the blonde man threatened him; he had never been fearful of a fight whenever one had come his way before. But he kept his mouth shut and simply watched the pair closely until Edie, obviously worn from the energy expended to stand and relay her tale took a seat beside him. It was only too easy, nearly second nature now, to allow his arm to curl supportively around her lower back to draw her to him.
The woman beside him was full of surprises though for after a moment of the silence fresh tears welled in her eyes that caused a certain panic to rise in Kato. "What's wrong?" He muttered though it was lost on deaf ears when Edie slipped away to seat herself on Frost's lap and hug him. Kato had to admit it was slightly uncomfortable watching the woman he was intimate with perched on another man's lap. Kato shifted and averted his gaze to the floor where the wood piece was still laying there as if to mock the what could have been part of him mind. Luckily Kato's mind was halted from the beginnings of a trip down the dark lane of memories by Edie's sudden reappearance at his side and her anchoring touch to his knee. Kato offered only the briefest of lyrics to Frost's question. For tonight at least there was no way he would be dislodged from Edie's side.
His attention returned to the two at hand, a smirk tugging at the corners of his lips. "A shower sounds perfect." Kato was immediately alert and about to guide Edie up from the couch when she turned her attention back to Frost and in turn had him looking back at the man. The wound that Frost exposed on his side that he had absorbed from Edie caused Kato's brow to lift upwards. So he wasn't as untouchable as he let on. Kato was already aware of Edie's healing powers and the weakness that came with it and now he witnessed Frost's associated weakness. "Huh, symbiosis..." He commented lightly seeing the circle that they created of absorbing each other's wounds that became a mutually beneficial arrangement. Kato eyed the now healed Frost as he decided to take his leave and echoed after Edie's farewell. "Aye aye cap'n." He had no problem cleaning up the mess that was created but there was no guarantee on when the rhino would exactly get around to it.
"I'm sure I'll come up with something." Kato chuckled, standing fluidly to wrap an arm around Edie to assist her to the bathroom. Might as well give her some façade of being strong and being able to do it. Once in the bathroom he guided her to the large double sink counter and left her only long enough to turn on the water for the shower to warm up before returning to stand partially behind her. Kato met Edie's gaze through the mirror as he swept aside her hair to gently press a kiss to her neck. His fingers skimmed along her back before bunching the fabric up, gingerly helping her out of the only clothing she wore. The blossomed bruises that colored her side and back stirred a certain protective anger in the man. The hot water would relax her muscles for sure and give her comfort in order to sleep after but Kato made a mental note that he would have to grab an ice pack later to reduce the bruises themselves. Extra care had to be made to avoid putting pressure on those areas for a few days. "As soon as you're healed I'm teaching you how to fight." Not even a glance was afforded to the offending bloody material that was tossed carelessly in the direction of the waste bin. "Ready?" He smirked, still holding her gaze through their reflections on the mirror which was beginning to haze from the steam of the shower. Of course Kato would happily oblige taking the lead to prevent Edie from being in too much pain but it didn't mean that he didn't still like to hear it, to see it in her eyes as she relinquished control.
