Anacosta Heights

Hawethorn Village
River Dale

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Residences

There are perhaps precious few times within his long, rather drawn out and often lingering existence in which Dorian found himself wishing to forgo any and every form of etiquette he knew of and yet here and now some part of him desired to do just that. He was perhaps, dancing upon the very line of it already, by allowing his side to remain pressed against the other man's own- after all, such a thing spoke of affection, attachment and an undeniable emotional hold that did not- or at least should not- have existed. He rarely permitted himself to sleep with the same individual twice, if only in an effort to avoid this very thing and yet more often than not it was their affection for him he sought to dispel. After all, it simply wasn't proper. Casual affairs were one thing, the royal court known for them, though they were rarely spoken about aloud. Becoming in anyway attached to a lover was a different matter entirely. One that bordered upon scandal. Doubly so if those involved were of a different class. Though of what Sebastian's class actually was he hardly knew- and some small part of himself had already acknowledged he had not cared the first time, nor the second, nor the third he had been within the mans company. Just as he had not cared to heed any of the rather subtle signs of his own growing affections that teased him with the desires for more than simply bedding the man. How long had it been, truly, since he had cared for anyone? Perhaps it was merely that, perhaps he had simply been alone so very long that Sebastian's attention was an utter relief and yet he is already aware of these lies he tells himself. Just as he is aware of Sebastian's lips upon his own once more in a kiss almost tender in its design that afflicts his thoughts with a myriad of things it should not and yet did all at once.

It would never work- of that he is assured. For so very many reasons. Not all of them merely an affliction of status or social class. After all, why would his vampire companion desire to give up his nightly conquests? Even Dorian knew the temptation of that. Sebastian, surely, had a veritable world of other beds to enjoy. Dorian assured his own was perchance no more than a number to add and yet, despite it all, the Fae King sees little need not to indulge himself, if only slightly, in the company of his lover. He could not, truly, remember the last time he had afforded his Seal to anyone. There had simply been neither a need nor a desire with which to bestow on anyone his protection or his favour. He gave friendship no more easily then he gave any other part of himself. After all within the courts, genuine friendships were terribly rare. Each and every action was a matter of social etiquette, everyone desired something- people desiring from himself and his family perhaps more than any other with Dorian in turn rarely ever desiring anything from them. Until now. It is a distinctly personal gift to bestow upon the vampire, Dorian searching for any hint the man took any dissatisfaction in this. After all, he was hardly required to accept it. Seals tending to have a veritable plethora of meanings- even if most of those were no longer relevant. They had been relevant though- once and it perhaps for some of those more forgotten meanings that such a thing is offered. He liked Sebastian and this is one of the few acceptable ways in which he knew to display it.

His eyes lift ever so slightly in surprise at the vampires assurance that what it could or could not do for him was hardly of importance, the man moving quickly to assure him that he would treasure such a thing all the same. There was something decidedly pleasurable in keeping the company of one old enough to appreciate the gestures afforded to him. Such words bring a ready grin of satisfaction the Fae's features, Dorian nodding softly in contentment at the man's thanks as the rain outside began to fall with significantly more force. From within the warmth and comfort of his bed however- the sound is not entirely displeasing. His gaze though, continues to linger upon the man beside him. The words that follow chosen with no small amount of care. Much of what the Seal said put now into words.

"I would not be opposed to your company again- if you find that agreeable. There are other ideas I find myself wishing to try-"

He cannot truly prevent the grin that lingers upon his features now, though of what other ideas the man has he chooses, for now, to keep entirely to himself and merely allow Sebastian's mind to wonder of them. Such a relationship after all, that of lovers, was not unknown to the Fae in any regard. After all, is this not what....this was? Just fun?

"-and yet there is much of this city I still have not seen. Much of it I wonder off still and if it would not be displeasing to you I would not be opposed to your company some evenings while I explore it."

Would it be so truly terrible to keep his company on occasion? It would be decidedly dangerous, after all, to wander about the city alone- Sebastian seeming to possess a knowledge of it he did not and indeed it was only gentlemanly to accompany a King, was it not? It is an excuse, of this Dorian is already assured, to perhaps spend at least another night- or two, in Sebastian's company and yet he was already denying himself much when it came to this man. Need he totally deny himself his company? Exploration of the city is surely still within the realm of fun.

"Besides, Mon Aime, you missed a vein and thus it is so you still have promises to keep."

One hand moves slightly, lightly gracing Sebastian's own thigh if for a but a moment before he chuckles once more, a ready grin adorning his features. Ah, these games they play.
