Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Due to her affinity, the faerie queen was certainly aware of every feeling that went through the witch's system. She was content to ignore it, however, leaving the girl hardly a choice but to follow her towards the stairs. It was only when she stopped to explain the metal in the staircase did she seem to get a positive reaction from the other woman. Or at least, one that didn't involve the desire to run towards the door. She felt it important, personally, that she mention that the titanium staircase had no ability to hurt any supernaturals that might be led into it. She couldn't help but name drop Aiden, however, the woman sure that if she knew who Samantha was, Aiden had to be known to the woman as well. As it turned out, the blank look that she gave her caused a bit of pride to swell up in the woman. Oh, so someone knew her name, but not his? How interesting. It was only when Vhalla mentioned the man in the Ark did a laugh burst from the faerie girl, her hand quickly raising to cover her mouth and stifle her chuckles. "Tall, dark, and indifferent. Yes, that has to be Aiden. That's the best description of him I'm ever heard, to be completely honest."

The girl was well aware of the interesting match up they seemed to be. Aiden was dark, powerful, mysterious. He ran the Ark with an authority that Samantha couldn't muster. Those who followed him were fiercely loyal, and even if he wasn't their Alpha, the patrons of the Ark bended to his authority. He had that sexy... mob boss type appeal to him. Samantha, however, had none of that. She was light in every way that he was dark. His shining green eyes giving way to her pale blue ones. Her hair a near white shade of blonde in comparison to his dark locks. Where he was skeptical and indifferent, Samantha was trusting and bubbly. It was hardly surprising to the girl that some people tended to eye the pair as though they were polar opposites. And yet, their relationship worked, and made them both happy. Still, the girl couldn't help but giggle again at the woman in regards to her boyfriend. "He's less... apathetic when you get to know him. Kind of."

The girl didn't pause as she led her up to the bedroom, pulling out the things that the woman would need to shower. It was only once she was sure that Vhal was settled in the bathroom did the faerie queen move to her own bedroom. She didn't shut the door as she normally would, instead making sure that Vhal would have no trouble finding her. The woman only pushed it shut slightly as she moved to change out of the designer clothes she wore to work and into something more comfortable. She donned a pair of baggy sweatpants and one of Aiden's t-shirts. She pulled her hair into a messy bun at the top of her head. Her makeup was removed, her jewelry placed on the dresser. It was only once the was comfortable did she settle once more onto her bed, lounging against the pillows. In that state, she hardly looked like a faerie queen. No, she looked like your typical eighteen year old girl, save for the pointed ears that jutted on either side of her head, exposed completely by the bun on top of her head.

It was certainly unwise that the girl had brought home a complete stranger, and she knew that. Aiden would likely lecture her about it if he knew about it. Frost would remind her of the dangers waiting for her since her creators were looking for her. But still, there was something so utterly harmless about Vhalla. Sure, she was dressed like an assassin and covered in someone else's blood, but there was that despair that seemed to give way to innocence. Whatever she had done tonight, it wasn't out of cruelty. There was guilt that left her trusting her completely. And whether or not Vhal thought she was worthy of that trust, it still remained that Samantha liked the girl.

The faerie noticed instantly that Vhalla had appeared in her doorway, the faerie sitting up as the knock was offered on the door. "You look better," She said pleasantly. And it was true. In the yoga pants and sweatshirt, Vhalla looked less like a threat and more like a normal young girl. "Oh yes, of course! It smells like cherries. Which I think is a bit weird for shampoo, but ever since I switched to it, Aiden really likes to play with my hair," She reached up almost instinctively, as if to play with her hair, before realizing it was up and out of her face. "Here, sit down," She moved to stand, reaching the woman's hand and tugging her to a sitting position on the bed. It was a moment before she joined her, this time armed with a brush and a bottle of detangler. She sprayed the liquid on her companion's hair before she went to work on brushing out the hair. She was gentle as she did so, the small faerie humming to herself as she worked.

It was only when the woman's long hair was tangle free did Samantha settle back on the bed, smiling brightly up at the woman. "There, you have to feel better. You can leave your clothes on the floor there. I'll throw them in the washer when we go back downstairs." She looked over at her. "You said that no one has taken care of you in a long time. What did you mean by that?"
