Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

It was almost embarrassing to the faerie girl to see the way that he seemed to pleased to have brought the blush to her cheeks. It was her thoughts of Aiden alone that had brought the flush to her cheeks. She imagined dancing with her boyfriend, of his eyes on her, of the feeling of being pressed close to him. She knew it would never happen. Their dates tended to be more in the comfort of homes or on the decks of the Ark. They were not particularly social people, and yet that had hardly been something she had worried about. She was relieved when she was slowed to a halt, though she was still curious about what she would do if she was ever forced to dance with someone who wasn't Dorian. Her voiced question was met with a decidedly playful tone from her friend, and she nodded at his invitation. She reached up to twirl a piece of her hair around her finger as she stood in front of him.

A laugh escaped her throat at the mention that she may be able to entice Aiden by merely pressing up against him. She could imagine his reaction, the way he would likely be confused and ask what she was doing. She couldn't possibly see herself doing that to Aiden. "He would look at me and ask me what the hell I was doing, Dorian." She grinned over at him, shaking her head. "He doesn't dance. He's not the type to... er... enjoy it. He's a bit more shy. He's more like Mr. Darcy, if you will." She attempted to explain, hoping he would relate to the book they'd spent the last several weeks trying to read through. "Plus, if I can let you in on a secret. I think that he knows that he can have me without dancing. I'm his, and it's not that hard to entice me into his bed." She knew he would find it improper, and yet she couldn't help herself from the tease.

"What about you?" She asked gently, her eyes lifting to his as she moved to lean against the couch beside him. "Does your suitor like to dance?" Any irritation she had had only an hour before had dropped to care more about Dorian himself. It had been rare to see him so happy, and she couldn't deny that she liked him. It didn't change her wariness, didn't change that she would prefer he not roam the streets at night, but that wasn't the vampire's fault, now was it? She let out a small sigh. "I had a vampire bite me one night after I came to town. It was... well the bite itself was almost pleasant. But the circumstances were anything but. I shall try to keep my own bias away from your suitor. I... I want you to be happy, Dorian."

Still, she allowed the sappy thoughts she had towards her companion to drift away, instead focused on the subject of their lessons. She had no idea what the dining manners might entail, but she was sure that the idea of curling up on the couch beside him would be better than that. "Let's watch a movie. Let me grab something to eat though, I am actually starving," She said happily. She pushed herself off the couch to go into the kitchen, reaching into the cabinet to retrieve two packages of Poptarts before she returned to him. She handed him one of the foil wrapped packages before she tossed hers on the couch, going instead to her DVD collection.

"I actually have Pride and Prejudice as a movie, you know. Now that we've finished it, I bet you'd love it. And you'll understand the plot of this one," She smiled warmly and put the movie in. Grabbing a blanket off the back of the chair, she moved to settle on the couch beside him. She opened her Poptart easily, grinning over at him with a tease. "Besides, I don't know if even you could explain how to eat this with manners" She teased before she took a bite of the pastry.
