Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Nadya Tetradore
Dorian would probably forever be an oddity to Nadya. Without any proof to prove his story of being frozen in time she would simply continue to believe him in need of a mental institution. As long as he wasn't in any way harm to her children when around she would overlook everything else. It was however Sam's blunt statement regarding the fae working at the burlesque that caused Nadya to pause more so than the oddity of Dorian not needing food. Nadya furrowed her brow, "Sam...they're fine. They can be catty but there's no reason not to trust them." The young woman plucked Izzy up into her arms when the small child kept attempting to escape up the metal staircase. "...I trust them. I wouldn't let people I don't trust work there." But if Sam didn't want Dorian about the burlesque then that was fine. It was Sam's saying she didn't trust the other employees that struck the curious chord.
Nadya shifted Izzy to settle on her hip as she approached Sam, delicately lifting the cover on the fae queen's head to check the progress of the dye. "It looks about done, let's get you rinsed." The soft whining protests from Izzy were ignored as she was lowered back into the playpen before Nadya took Micah from Sam and placed him beside his sister. Once more Nadya guided Sam back into the chair, this time in front of the sink, unwrapping her hair and beginning to rinse it off. As the residue colored the water streaming down the drain Nadya cautiously approached the subject. "You...haven't told my brother about the Gala...have you?" Aidan hadn't been behaving much differently so she could only assume Sam hadn't mentioned their run-in with Frost but she wanted to make sure it wasn't something her brother was just dwelling on. "It was a bad idea to go. I just...wanted to make sure this new mayor isn't going to make things hard on the other species. Aidan was busy and you're new Queen...I didn't think Frost-" Nadya paused in her meticulous rinsing of Sam's hair.
"I couldn't risk looking rude or causing a scene; if I had shifted there because of it would have been bad." With a heavy sigh Nadya pinched at the bridge of her nose before raking her fingers through her hair. She knew not wanting to cause a scene and kissing the man was certainly two different things. The last thing she wanted right now was for her brother to get wind of her slip. Nadya shook her head as she returned her attention back to Sam's hair, grumbling to herself mostly, "I guess that shouldn't matter since there was a scene anyways. Trouble seems to follow him around." The water was running clear now, for how long she wasn't sure but was grateful for it. Nadya shut off the water and guided Sam to sit back up and began towel drying her hair. "Once it's dry it'll look amazing, Sam." A smile crept on her features seeing how the color had taken. "This red looks just as natural on you as your blonde. Aidan will surely do quite the double-take when he sees you."
