Malek Ackerman
You're my water. You're my wine.
As she suspiciously glares at Malek, he simply slides his fingers into his pockets as he regards her openly, a casual smile lining his lips. Raising his brows at her by her statement, he gives a small shrug, "Don't let me fellow species give us all a bad name, we aren't all blood sucking monsters," he cracks a grin at her, his head tilted to the side as he reaches that hand up to scratch his beard in such a casual manner. The vampire was ancient, he was far too used to being treated like he was a monster but, in a way, there was a monster inside of everyone.
When he removes his hands from his pockets and moves to the satchel lying on the ground, he can see the tense outline of her shoulders from the corner of his gray eyes. Perhaps she thought he was going to steal it. Scoffing at the idea, he casually leans down and grabs the bag, dusting the sand from it before waltzing towards her, stopping inches from the sword. If she were going to kill him, she best do it now. When he mentions where she needed to aim in order to cease his existence, even Malek has a hard time watching the emotion flit across her face. She seemed... confused. All the same, he hands her the bag. Watching her hesitate before putting that rather sharp steel away, she takes the bag from him and Mal takes several steps backwards so not to crowd her.
She was equivalent to a frightened animal and he would treat her as such until he could tell she was calm enough.
When she states what she will do if he attempts to harm her, he gives a small shrug of his shoulder, letting his hands slide back into his pockets, "You can't kill someone who's already dead," he chuckles at his own joke, an easy smile working it's way into his features. "I'm Malek by the way," he offers a hand, unsure if she would actually grasp it, but those pleasantries that were so instilled into him all those years ago had a hard time being let go. "That was a rather fascinating storm we had, no? Did you do that?" he asks, clear interest dancing in his eyes.
Oh, how the vampire did surely love to learn of other people's powers. It was a way for him to pass the time. He had met many folks over the centuries who held a variety of powers, it was indeed fascinating.
You're my whiskey. From time to time.
