The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.
The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.
Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

PhD in Plant Biology Abigail Hughes
She practically skipped down the sidewalk, excited to be out and about instead of cooped up in Frost's house for the day. The cooler weather felt good and though she was still more cold in her human skin, the leather jacket did wonder for keeping her warm. She pulled it closer around her, brown eyes bright and alert as she watched the people around her. There was sudden a bigger crowd around her than she was used to and it took her a moment to figure out why. But then she saw a sign for the college and realized where she had ended up, near the campus. Instantly, her gaze turned curious as she focused more on the people walking by, taking in the backpacks on their backs and the thick books in their hands. She wondered if all college students were smart or if it just seemed like that from the outside looking in. She saw a lone guy walking down the sidewalk, books clutched tightly to his chest. He seemed nervous but she couldn't see what there was to be nervous about. But then he went to walk by a group of guys hanging out on a low wall and she saw one of the guys put his leg out, tripping the lone man up on purpose. He stumbled and two of his books fell to the ground, which he then tripped over more and ended up on his hands and knees on the sidewalk. The group immediately started laughing, honking and braying. They sounded more like donkeys to Malia as she made her way over with no hesitation. "Man, Brady, you should really look where you're walking. You could have been hurt." One of the guys barely got out through his laughter. Malia all but curled her lip as she got closer, kicking aside the man's leg roughly as she walked up. The man snapped his head up, obviously looking to retaliate but his eyes widened when he saw a girl instead of another guy. He snorted. "What can I do you for, sweet thing?" He lounged back on the wall, obviously trying to look cool in front of his friends, who all hooted and whistled as they took in Malia. She kneeled down in front of Brady, reaching out to grab a book or two for him as her eyes cut to the group. "Like sheep in an open field." She muttered to herself, handing Brady the last book before she straightened, crossing her arms before turning to the men. Brady gave her a puzzled look for all of a few seconds before he turned on his heels and hurried off, obviously wanting to get as far away from the drama about to ensue as possible. "Thank you." She heard him mumble as he turned but her attention had already turned to the group, who was still guffawing and doing impersonations of Brady now to make themselves keep laughing. She shook her head. "You're like a group of stupid hyenas, so jacked up on your own humor that you lose all other mental capacities. Where do you get off picking on the quiet ones? Don't you know it's the lone wolf who takes down the sheep in the night just when they think it's safe to close their eyes?" Her use of animal metaphors seemed to go over their heads as they blinked at her in confusion, one guy even tilting his head. Sighing, she rolled her eyes. "You're supposed to be smart college students and instead you're all just a major disappointment, just as dumb as the jerks at the local bar." Her voice turned bitter but the guy who had spoken to her before just smirked like he'd done something to be proud of. "Well if you want the same thing you must want from the guys at the bar, you just look me up, darling. I'll treat you ten times better." He winked and his friends cheered him on. She felt disgusting as they looked her up and down, her arms crossed in front of her as she glared at the man who spoke. "I bet your penis is too dumb to grow, just as dumb as you." The guy's friends all "oooohed" and she could hear some saying "burn!" as she shook her head again and turned on her heel. She was ready to put the campus behind her, but that's when she saw a familiar head of hair bouncing in the crowd of students heading off campus and she grinned, practically skipping after her. "Hey, Miyako! Wait up!" |
