The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

He could tell she was having a good time now that they were swinging and the idea brought a warm smile to his face even as he pushed for more speed and more air. She seemed to have an almost mature air about her for such a young girl, though Taylor could have just been reading too much into it. She answered his questions like someone who was all too used to answering questions which made him wonder if she ran away like this a lot. She chose not to respond when he asked about Sebastian and tried to coax her to promise that he could take her back home after this. He had to believe that was on purpose, his brows furrowing but he continued to swing. He could always bring it up again later. The wind was starting to get chilly which made him glad he usually always wore his good leather jacket because his only mode of transportation was a motorcycle. It just sucked riding in the rain. She didn't even seem phased by the coolness though. He even tried to looking over to see if he could find goosebumps on her arms, something to alert him that he might need to give up his jacket if only so she doesn't catch a cold by the time he got her home, but nothing seemed amiss. She looked perfectly comfortable, even as the breeze kicked up from them swinging faster. She didn't even hesitate to jump when he tried to alert her of the height, looking every bit like it was nothing. In the moment she was suspended in the air, he could swear he saw pure bliss on her features. But then he had to brace himself cause he was sure she was going to break something on landing. She shocked the hell out of him when she landed nimbly as any cat on the ground in front of the swing. She made it look too easy. He was soon to follow, if only to check her closer for signs of injury in case her adrenaline was masking it or something. But he couldn't make out any awkward angles on her ankles or any shifted weight on her feet. She looked completely fine. As he held out his hand in greeting, she only paused a moment before taking it with a grin. He noticed immediately that she had a stronger grip than he would have expected of a young girl. Usually it's pretty limp and soft as their skin, but hers was cold...cold and hard. He looked up at her grin, listening as she told him that she didn't dance. He raised a brow. "Not at all? I don't believe that. Surely you've played Ring around the Rosie." He teased with a grin of his own. But then he noticed something odd about her own grin. What had happened to her teeth? Were those...? He stumbled back before he could think much further, his eyes widening as he reached out for the swing set frame to steady himself. He couldn't stop staring at her teeth. "Uh....so I see." He tried to sound natural as she told him she could do lots of things. There had to be a good explanation. Teeth didn't just grow and sharpen like that. His brow rose. "Um, sure. How did you do that? Do you have fake teeth hidden in your mouth or something the whole time? That was a pretty cool trick. I'll have to get me some of those." |
