it's over, i'm through
I saw you standing there and I knew I'm done for
Tetradore was well aware of the importance of this singular day to the vampire woman he held such affections for. This was something special enough that he sincerely doubted she would merely miss it. He hardly even considered the possibility that the young woman might have ran off on her husband, quite on the contrary, Tetradore was assured that Damon was all Isolt had desired for some time. He had long since come to terms with the fact that he had lost in this game for her heart. Something was wrong. It felt wrong, those instincts screaming at him enough for the man to further interrupt that wedding, despite how it surely must have looked to those guests in those fold up chairs. It was with respect for the couple that caused Tetradore to wait until he had pulled Damon out of immediate earshot of that wedding before he admitted his worst fears. Whoever dreamed of losing the bride on a day such as this? The were king was silent as he watched Damon's features shift, his insistence that Isolt would have wanted this day to be perfect only mirrored his own assumptions.
A small frown crossed his lips at the mention of the young woman's bridesmaid. "No," he stated, shaking his head in the process. "I already checked the bridesmaid tent. It was empty too." The fact that both women were missing only further prompted that sense of worry within the man. Even so, he hardly stopped Damon as the man made his way towards those ivory tents, the were-King instead merely followed in his steps, allowing the vampire to discover what he had already unearthed. That further inquiry of Isolt's best friend, however prompted him to pause. The fiery young woman had a rather violent history with him, one he didn't intend to coax to life during Isolt's wedding. "No one I asked had seen her recently." He answered carefully, avoiding the inquiry of that mortal woman herself. Tetradore's emerald eyes followed Damon's own as the two men simply glanced amongst the mysterious remains of that tent, the panther hardly any less oblivious to those small details that spoke of something gone awry within that tent. It was those same things that so put him on edge.
His eyebrows furrowed at that question of tracking the woman, his nose sniffing the air in consideration. "No, but there is a faint musty scent here that isn't either of the girls...." He paused, tasting that air a moment longer before concluding, "There were three of them....I think." It was hardly helpful and yet, the man was trying. It was the rustle of that tent's flap that drew Tetradore's attention, his gaze briefly swept over the vampire that joined the pair. His head bobbed silently in response to that inquiry of Isolt's absence, though he made no effort to speak for Damon. Quite on the contrary, it was the presence of his own element that pulled at the man. That fear that radiated from Damon was all but palpable in that moment. Gently, he placed his hand upon Damon's shoulder. "We'll find them." He spoke in a reassuring fashion. "Any help you might be able to provide would be useful Malek. Did Chizue say they were going anywhere? Can either of you think of anyone who would want this wedding not to happen?" Frankly, Tetradore could already think of one such individual but he was certain this wasn't the work of Isolt's maker. At the very least, he would have smelled her.
