Malek Ackerman
You're my water. You're my wine.
Malek has never attended a wedding that was filled with quite this much... excitement. The man having hardly even seen his date since arriving here, the vampire merely suspected she was busy attending to the bride as she was, in fact, a bridesmaid. Still, the elder vampire wants to kick himself for not noticing things sooner, worry beginning to gnaw in his gut as he faces the two men standing in the tent. He's quick to explain who he is, his eyes turning to the man who spoke first, merely because he seemed to be the one with his emotions under control while the other vampire was a bit distraught. Malek doesn't miss the raising of the man's brow,, the look telling him everything he needed to know without Damon actually saying anything. It was clear the Damon hardly cared if he was here or not, the man worried more about his future wife than anything. Malek hardly took it personal as Tetradore's voice draws his attention once more.
Malek gives the man a nod, acknowledging his words, "I'm not much help in a fight but I'm a decent tracker," Malek explains, eyes darting towards Damon again, though the man seemed to be entirely content to ignore him, simply because Malek wasn't being useful. It was true, the man wasn't being useful, simply because his own mind was reeling with the information that Damon so stated. Chizue and him would hardly be what you called a couple, the man having taken a wild infatuation with the woman, wanting to take things further with her and yet, he hardly knew her still. This had been a date to get to know the doll like vampire, so when Tetradore asks if they might have any leads, Malek remains quiet, allowing Damon to share that information. Eyes widen in surprise briefly at the familiar name, Malek unable to keep his mouth shut.
"I thought that coven was just a rumor, I didn't realize they had actually existed," Malek murmurs, diving into the depths of his mind, plucking his brain for any information that might help. He's unable to come up with anything as he had never truly researched it, the rumored coven hidden in secrecy. Malek is unable to ask anymore questions as Damon strides from the tent leaving Tetradore and Malek standing alone. Sighing, he turns to the man, brows furrowed in concentration, "There are a number of red headed vampires in the world, why does this coven think it to be Isolt?" He asks as he racks his brain for anything that might prove useful. "And if it is this coven that Damon suspects, why would they take Chizue? Is there another part of the prophecy that we are not aware of? Or was Chizue simply in the wrong place at the wrong time?" He rattles off those questions that he can't quite keep to himself, choosing Tetradore to answer his many questions as he seemed to be the more... stable one.
Running a hand through his hair, he teases those locks into a mess as a flash of worry darts across his features, that usually jolly demeanor entirely absent in wake of their situation. "I hadn't expected to wake up tonight to go on a hunt," He half heartedly teases, not capable of brightening his own mood before another sigh leaves his lips, "Look, I said earlier that I'm not terribly good in a fight, I can handle myself through other measures. I might be a useful distraction though," he explains, those steel eyes calculating as he plays the many scenarios out in his mind, "I have the ability to manipulate pheromones, specifically other being's attractions to the point that I could have them weeping at my feet. It hardly matters if it's a man or a woman unless they have a specific ability that prevents my power from working. It may or not help," Malek explains before taking a step aside to clear the entrance to the door.
"Just let me know what I can do," he says, determination dancing through his features as his mind returns to Chizue, wondering what was going on. After Tetradore leaves, Malek trails behind him, allowing the two men to converse as the vampire had nothing helpful to say at the moment, he was merely there for support should the two men need it. When Damon speaks again, Malek let's Tetradore take over, the man hardly having a chance to meet any witches within Sacrosanct, though he was aware that their numbers were significant within the city, it was only a matter of finding the right one.
