A relief washed over Nadya the moment they got back to the security and peace of the house. Although the warmth from Frost's ability and her own Were healing had certainly begun to ease her weariness, she still felt like she was in a haze as she ordered the children upstairs and moved to the kitchen. Nadya's own reaction to the mess left by her packmate was hardly more than a glance compared to Frost's own skulk. She would clean it open as she had before without any bother. The messes that Malia made in her learning curve were far less than the debacle that Frost hadn't been present for with the twins when they had gotten into the finger paint when Nadya hadn't been looking. She had had to replace a few items of furniture in her old flat's living room.
"Your homeland seems to have a lot of complicated ways." Nadya mused lightly as she attempted to clean the blood from Frost's torso. She supposed for someone who grew up there it wasn't complicated but as an outsider she felt rather intimidated by it. She couldn't help the words that spilled from her. It was a topic that weighed heavily on her that she had seemed to put off for far too long. This complicated life wasn't the one she had envisioned for them. She sighed softly when Frost took the cloth from her, insisting he could do it, and continuing on offering his piece of advice. "I know...you're right, petri dish is too complicated." Nadya leaned back against the kitchen island with a soft frown. "I never wanted to lie to them...I still don't. I just don't want them to go through the hurt I did of feeling shunned by your own blood. I only had my brother for that but they have their own father that could make them feel that way too."
Nadya's features softened though as she stepped forward to gently brush Frost's hair aside and grace her fingers along his cheek before stealing a kiss. "I could never put that complicated mess on you, telling the twins you're their father. Though I appreciate the fact that you'd support whatever I did. It's not fair to you. You gave a good explanation and I'll use that." She stepped away from Frost and gathered the twin's snack, "Yes, I still want to go." It wasn't just about learning a skill she knew would be needed for their travel but also some time alone with him. Nadya offered him a soft reassuring smile before disappearing from the kitchen.
By the time Nadya reached the twin's room they were asleep on their bed. Apparently the ordeal made them more ready for an early nap than food. Nadya tucked them under the covers and set the plate of snacks on the nightstand between the beds for when they woke.
It was some time later that Nadya sought out Frost. She had showered and stopped by Malia's room to ask her to watch the twins before looking for her boyfriend. There was only two places she ever found him; reading a book in the living room or handling business affairs in his office. It was the office she found him this time and she leaned against the doorframe to watch him a moment before speaking. "...What would you say to heading out now instead? I was thinking about it and I want you to teach me how to fight too." In the shower she had beaten herself up about how she could have held her own more and maybe injured a hunter if she knew how to properly fight in her human form. It was one thing in her animal but an entirely different on two legs and with no teeth and claws to help.
