Her coworkers would surely be disappointed to see her upon her arrival on her day off. Not because they disliked her, quite the opposite in fact, they cared for her to try and make sure she was taking care of herself. But she loved the aquarium and sharing it with others, something she didn't get to do all to often with little personal time, surely they couldn't be mad at her for at least not working while she was there. Arya was sure the mother would appreciate her presence in helping to keep the little one's attention with cool things, which would in turn hopefully wear them out for her; she understood how rambunctious little ones like Izzy could be, especially when trying to manage another child as well. At one point her own mother had claimed Arya was a handful, luckily she had mellowed out with age, and hopefully for the mother's sake Izzy would do the same. Though she adored kids it was these same exact kids she dealt with on a regular basis that made her glad she didn't have any she had to take home at the end of the day, that they were someone else's responsibility; her flippered children were much easier to manage than human or supernatural children.
Though out of the blue, she was glad when the Were mother agreed to take them on their own kind of private tour, her intentions nothing but kind. Izzy's excitement manifested in the form of energy, causing Arya to laugh lightly while introductions were properly given. "It's a pleasure Nadya, Micah, and Izzy. I'm Arya," she greeted each with a smile, including the youngsters as, she had come to find out, they loved being included in things that seemed very adult. "What are your guys' favorite animal?" she asked, knowing she'd get an answer from Izzy but hoping to see if she could coax something from the much more shy and quiet Micah. Warm amber eyes shifted to Nadya now as they continued to walk, "Are you guys from around here?" She inquired, her question nothing more than hoping to strike up some small talk while they made the short journey to the entrance of the aquarium. Truthfully she was curious, she was always so busy with work she wasn't exactly familiar with any of the native Were population, any of the packs. She knew one was located by her apartment, but other than that she didn't know anything. It wasn't that she kept to herself, she simply hadn't had the opportunity to interact with any others until now.
Arya's head tilted slightly as she pondered Izzy's question, trying to guess at the term the young girl was attempting to explain via charades. Luckily her mother stepped in, seeming to understand after but a moment that she was attempting to describe sea urchins. Arya smiled and nodded, "of course! They're very pokey but if you're gentle I can even show you how to get a sea urchin hug." With Arya's presence Nadya didn't have to pay the small entrance fee that kept the aquarium open and feeding all of their animals. "The touch pool area is definitely a favorite. I'm a little envious since I run the seals and sea lions exhibit," she said with a small light hearted laugh. Of course she would love if everyone spent all their time watching the seals and sea lions, but she understood the appeal of getting to touch things rather than look at them through glass, unless of course you paid extra for the tour that took you behind the scenes to interact with the pinnipeds or simply had the connections.
"I've worked here for roughly three years, not including the year and a half I spent interning here while in college. This is definitely a second home for me," she said, waving at an employee she knew momentarily before turning back to the young mother. "Two definitely seems to be a handful, I always pity the parents I see here with more than two. Luckily the tide pool area helps but that is still a lot of little bodies running around to keep an eye on." Arya couldn't even imagine how hard it was with one child in such an exciting, large place, adding more just seemed impossible for one person, and often it was only the mom's here with the children. She quickly led the small family into the touch tide pool area, headed to a pool she knew had several sea urchins. She gave plenty of room for all three to slip in up close and then pointed towards a sea urchin in reach for Izzy, and Micah if he wanted. "They're very pokey and pointy because they don't want to be someone else's snack, but if you're really gentle with one finger...watch," She said, reaching in to the cold water with one hand, she gently placed one finger in between the spines of the urchin. In a matter of a couple of seconds it had slowly and gently closed its spines over her finger, like a sea urchin hug. She pulled her hand out and motioned for the family to try, including Nadya.
