South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Drunk was indeed the magic word. No, wasted sounded even better. And that's exactly how he wanted to feel by the end of tonight. He was fast on his way with the help of the pretty witch across from him. Right up until she decided to make it a Michael Jackson music video by making the dead appear in the bar. He was more than a little surprised to find his own third grade teacher staring right back at him. Of all the women in his life to be obsessed enough with him to haunt him past the grave.... But he didn't have to think about it too long before Serafina was grabbing his wrist, pulling him out of the bar with her. They landed against the wall and he laughed, his body coming to life at the sudden contact and he couldn't stop the groan that fell from his lips. She brought her finger to his nose, asking if he liked her as he chuckled and nipped at her finger.

"Don't worry, you're not my type, Twisty." He liked that nickname for her. Somehow he was sure it fit her. She was too much like him if he was being honest with himself. He never chose women that had dark pasts and haunted eyes they hid behind morbid humor. No, he wanted the safe ones, the pretty and shallow girls who only saw what they wanted to see and never questioned motives. Serafina was hot and her confidence was sexy but he'd sworn off witches and warlocks a long time ago, even though he already broke that rule with Killian when he first got to town. He wouldn't do it again. He couldn't. It was hitting too close to home and he'd buried that drama too far down to go digging for it again. She started dragging him down the sidewalk toward another bar and he whined about leaving his credit card. He wasn't about to go back for it though. He could cancel it in the morning.

She asked him why he did that for and he shrugged before grinning. "Seemed like a fun idea at the time, I guess." He drawled. He tried to keep up with her but even drunk, she had a long stride for such a short stature. Finally she slowed and looped her arm through his, saying something about necromancy and that she could do possession. She went over the ideas of killing his coven, saying she could make them kill each other or get her other army. Christian lifted a brow. "Your other army? Oh, do tell. You got a few buried in the backyard or something, just in case?" He smirked, his eyes twinkling. This banter was at least helping keep him distracted. "Oh, there's one!" He pointed at a bar across the street from them where people were already pouring out in hives, stumbling over each other, some even singing. Now they seemed to be having a good time.
