The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.
The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.
Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

PhD in Plant Biology Abigail Hughes
He looked almost surprised at first when she asked about his form, like it hadn't occurred him that he'd never told her before. She didnt' think he was trying to keep it a secret or anything like that. Surely, if he was, he would just tell her so and she would drop it right there...or at least, attempt to. She'd still be curious as hell, but out of respect of their growing friendship, she wouldn't push. Instead, he cleared his throat and gave her a smile before telling her that a Great Dane was a tall lean dog. Her eyes widened a little and her lips slowly pulled into a big grin. "So we're both canines! Awesome!" She didn't know why it excited her so much, but for some reason, she found that she couldn't picture him as a cat anyway and really, she didn't know a lot of animal species besides those she hunted to know others. She would have died right there, she was sure, if he was a prey animal. At least, he was something that could hunt with her. But then he told her that the dog breed he was, was known to be lazy and hang out on couches. She scrunched up her nose at that. Then he said they were fiercely protective and loyal and she smirked. "So they do have a bite, then." She let the subject change back to surfing then, asking what she did when she finally rode a wave, cause she was definitely determined to at least get that done. He told her usually you just jump off the board and she scowled. "So you just end up back in the water, anyway? Seems like a lot of work for the same end result." Still, she had to admit, the adrenaline rush when she went to stand up on the board was almost worth all of it anyway. Plus spending time with Ashton, but she didn't want to tell him that. She set back to surfing, feeling that she was getting better, but it was never fast enough for her. She grew frustrated sometimes but Ashton was always there with a pep talk to get her determination back on track. By the end, she could stand up and ride a wave, though only for a short time before she lost her balance or got distracted and ended back in the water. Ashton was there more often than not to catch her and she was careful not to tease him again about his body's reaction. In a way, she was flattered. That had to mean that he was attracted to her, right? She had to think so, and inside, she was giddy cause she was definitely attracted to him. But would anything come of it or would they just remain friends? She didn't want to push anything. They were still getting to know each other, after all. She was just not known for her patience. He told her she was doing well and she grinned at him as she grabbed the board again. "As good as you, you mean?" She said with a playful wink. Then he started calling her back to the beach and she put on a pouting face with her bottom lip poking out before she let out a sigh of defeat and started following him to the beach. That was when she realized that she hadn't even thought about the cold water or how she wasn't the greatest at swimming. Wow, he was a really good distraction. That, and the surfing, of course. She giggled to herself even as she picked up the board and walked the rest of the way onto the sand. Everything was starting to feel sticky now and she didn't like it but she couldn't stop smiling. She tilted her head at his last comment. "Burn? What does it mean to burn?" She'd been out in the sun pretty much most of her life, albeit with a full coat of fur during that time. Since finding out what she was, she spent most of her life outdoors still but still most of it in her Were form unless she was in the pack house or with someone. She let him unhook her strap and wrapped the towel around herself as he went to the cooler. When he said sandwiches, her stomach rumbled in response and she grinned. "I'm starving. That'll work just fine." |
