South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

It was decidedly a little strange to see an orca and a seal conversing under water. Moments ago would have made more sense as Zachary was trying to eat the poor seal-girl. Still, he's absurdly happy he didn't monch on her for a meal, the whale finally deciding he was going to be her bodyguard. Oh, he would take his job incredibly seriously, fending off all predators in the water - not that she had much to worry about at the moment, as far as he knew, he was the only apex predator this close to the city this time of year. "No, no I insist," he tells her, his whale chest puffing itself out in a comical way, "You are the first were I've met in the city and you're aquatic! This way I have someone to swim with - it gets a little lonely out here at times," he gives her that whale grin again - not realizing that showing his teeth might make her... uncomfortable. The moment passes and he is shifting quickly, the bite of the ocean water sinking into his skin.

Swimming at the seal, he tackles her in the water, bringing her body close to him as he hugs her in gratefulness. How terribly traumatized he would have been if he had eaten her! Parting his lips to speak, water rushes in his mouth as he releases the seal-girl for a moment before paddling frantically to the surface. Breaking the water, he gasps for breath, spluttering and beating at his chest. Taking a moment to rub the salt for his eyes, he glances over at the seal just as she surfaces. A wide grin flashes on his face as he watches her, goosebumps rising along his skin as he slicks his dark hair back from his eyes. The soft sounds she makes has him snapping his gaze to her, his smile only widening as he reaches out and squishes her face between two large hands. "YOU ARE SO CUTE," he exclaims excitedly before patting her on her head lightly.

As a light breeze picks up, he can't help but shudder involuntarily as he sinks back into the water, "I don't think I should stay in this form for very long - human bodies are not made to withstand the cold like this," he mutters as his teeth chatter. With no flubber protecting himself, the ice cold water seeped through him easily. Turning his eyes on the seal-girl, he tilts his head as he watches her, "Do you live here?" He asks suddenly, only to realize that he couldn't understand her anymore. "Oh, duh," he mutters before dunking under water and allowing that shift to take over. Once he's fully back in whale form, he turns his massive head towards her, "You're so tiny when I shift!" He exclaims, surprised, "I didn't notice it before," he gives her a toothy smile again.

"I'm Zach - but most people call me Willy," he introduces himself while he waves a fin from side to side. He's quiet for a moment as his brain kicks into overdrive, "Oh my god.... Do you think some of the fish I've eaten were weres?" He asks suddenly, his eyes widening slightly as he swims forward, nudging the seal-girl slightly with his snout. "I probably DID. I'm a cannibal now!" He exclaims distraught as he swims away from the girl muttering unintelligibly to himself as he circles a rock repeatedly. "I mean, maybe. I don't know. How do you tell if they are real fish or shifters? I have no idea! I never even thought to try and talk to them before I would eat!" He groans dramatically, "I don't think I can eat seafood anymore."
