The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.
The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.
Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.
The University of Sacrosanct offers some of the top programs in the nation with its outstanding campus and specialized faculty. Raylin Chike
It was, perhaps, a relatively new feeling to feel such terror. The human woman had lived such a free and wild life, hardly letting anything get in the way of her way of living. She hated the way her body succumbed to terror at the mirror accent of this man's words, her fight or flight instincts kicking in. Once she had dared to fight, to even pull a gun on that vampire from so many months ago but those pesky human instincts had taken over, letting fear freeze her limbs in the moment. That very vampire with abnormally large canines had shredded the skin at the base of her neck and shoulder, a scar that would forever remain as a reminder of what she had faced and survived. Much to her chagrin, the southern vampire had allowed her to live, whether it was because of her fighting spirit or him being called away, she still didn't know. Raylin barely remembered the rest of that night, ending up at Brennan's ship and him patching her up before sending her on her way.
It felt like a lifetime ago.
But still, she felt the deep settling ache in her shoulder, how tight it would get in the colder weather, like now, she could already feel stiffness settling in just by being in the freezing ocean. Straddling her board, she fingers the scars hidden beneath her wetsuit, the memories holding strong in the forefront of her mind, but eventually the tracing turns into a massage, bringing life and movement back to that limb as she faces this new stranger. Dragging a hand nervously through her pink hair, she has to force a grin, determined to remain there, to conquer the fear that threatens to shut her body down. Ray hardly misses the look of horror that flashes across the man's face and a prickle of guilt forms in her stomach. She couldn't take back her initial reaction but she could at least try to have a civil conversation, even though his accent continued to raise the hairs on the back of her neck.
She apologizes quickly before blinking in surprise. His words distracted her enough to ignore his accent entirely. She had met so many people in the city with different cultures and different gods, it was almost... normal to hear someone talk so plainly about being lost in prayer, though she herself was not truly a believer, it was refreshing and seemed to fit his persona. Lifting a hand up, she waves him off casually, "No worries, it was my fault, I got a little too competitive trying to be the first person up on that wave," she laughs, though it's still tight, her eyes a bit wary. When he extends his hand, she can't help the way her eyes shoot to his hand, staring for a long moment, long enough to make it uncomfortable as he introduces himself. It takes herself a long second to gather herself before extending her own frozen hand and giving it a firm shake. "I'm Raylin, but most people call me Ray," she says before releasing his hand and tucking her fingers beneath her arms to ward off the cold.
"I see you were smart enough to wear a drysuit," she remarks, her eyes noting the much warmer suit adorning his figure. "I got a little too excited and didn't check the weather this morning," she laughs, and as if in response, her body shudders at the cold.
